What are you listening to

Spoiler

I should probably stop listening to songs based on shows I don't watch.

It's not like that song is any less perfect if you don't watch Dexter, though.

Anyway, while there is a high probability that nobody else will ever enjoy any of the music I listen to ever mainly because my taste in music is almost definitely terrible far more often than not, here it is nonetheless.

The lead singer from Men at Work ("I COME FROM THE LAND DOWN UNDER!") went solo and wrote some really beautiful stuff.
  • #157

Currently, the stuff my parents listened to when thay were my age (stuff from the 60's and 70's *mumbles* stupid clock radio) its not that bad, I just hate all of the cheesy mushy love songs.
  • #158

If it's from the 60's and 70's and doesn't suck, I probably already own it. If I don't, it's a band so obscure that I would have to buy a vinyl converter to put it on my iPod.

(Which I actually intend to do for the coveted Beatles Live at Hollywood Bowl, Cocksucker Blues and a bootleg Led Zeppelin copy of Swan Song if I can get a hold of one.)

We always used to have a Good Time together, but when we broke up you were just Somebody That I Used To Know. I finally found happiness with somebody else, but my heart still felt torn. You want to know What Hurts The Most? I saw you again for the first time in years and the first thought I had was to tell you that I Need Your Love. Before I even had the chance to walk over to you, I saw you kiss somebody else. You were in the arms of my best friend and now I’m beginning to wonder if we were just lying to ourselves when we said, “We Found Love in each other.”

… Oh yay I Found You! Where did you go?

Huh? Oh I was just reminiscing about my high school days. Come on let’s go Sandy.

Maishul who was that back there and who was she kissing?

That was Lucy and she was kissing Paulo.

Oh, I’m glad she found somebody to keep her happy. Do you feel the same?

… Yeah. I guess she does deserve to be happy.

I listen to a lot of songs so have a few and make sure to listen to the last one... that one made me laugh. :D Hopefully all the links work. Oh yeah and each one reminds me of a relationship in BCB.

Yeah, kinda. I never think about anything but the Tea Party when I hear that schizophrenic Jingoist shit.
  • #181

How is a band associated with the hippie movement considered 'Jingoist shit'?

And have some Tuvan throat singing.

I think I might like Mantis better. (Have you listened to the EP?).

It's just really cool because it's all vocal stuff.

Kind of reminds me of Animal Collective as well.

I haven't! Alvin Band is a pretty recent thing for me.

I've actually never listened to Animal Collective

The singer from Disturbed doing duos with the singers from Avenged Sevenfold and System of a Down is either a sign of the apocalypse, or a sign that humanity is still capable of doing really good and amazing things like this entire album.
