Okay this is an honest question.
I'm curious as to what the past tense of shit is.
Like, there is "I/You'll shit bricks", "I am shitting bricks", but what about the past tense? "I shitted bricks"."I shat bricks."
But shit sounds like shot, so "I shit bricks" may work too possibly?

I don't know the etymology of the word "shit," but I would say its past tense is "shit."

It's shat or shit, they're interchangeable.
