Google Fiber
Still trying to wrap my mind around what I could possibly download with all that speed. Maybe it's time for a new hard drive...(Oh wait, it also comes with a terabyte of cloud storage. :0 )Is this speed enticing enough for you?

Boy Google's really going for a stronghold grip on all things internet.
I guess actually providing internet is the next natural step when you're pretty much providing email, youtube, etc.

Also their HUD glasses. Possibly useless but maybe not. It's a big fucking gamble.

I'm not really convinced about the glasses yet. Still seems like too much of an early prototype, but hey, I guess testing the waters counts for something.

Considering Google deals with Petabytes on a daily/weekly/monthly basis I think it's probably about right that they'd want to have their own cables in replacement of whoever deals with their ISP. It will be incredibly expensive at first but it would pay itself off in no time, having a few thousand people who are filling up the rest of the capacity and pay dividends to support the infrastructure is a great idea.

My friends don't care about it. Which means there is less of a chance of google fiber coming to a city whose main attraction is an auto square.
