Too many cats to choose from!

So you might remember the little "competition" we had where we we looked for Lucy and Mike cats for a secret project.

Veronica didn't even know what I was doing for a long while. It turned out I was secretly putting together a video for the Kickstarter project. As it turned out, the readership had a ton of cats to show off and quite a few made my shortlist. Here are all 36 (there were even more, but some of the links people sent expired):

Thanks to everybody who submitted photos! It was wonderful to have so many cats to choose from, and I had a lot of regrets for the ones left behind! At least here they can have their time in the spotlight.

Daaww!! It it had been me, I think I'd have chosen this couple, but it would habe been hard anyway!
And I guess there has been some logistic matters to take into account as well.

Max is the right shade of Mike.

The anonymous with the face poofs is good for Lucy because of the face poofs and being pudgy like Lucy.
But Lilly wins by default for heterochromia and being the same race. SORRY HONKEY.

Of all the grey cats submitted, I'm surprised mine's the only one named Ash. Not even any Smokey's. Well, there is that one named Soot, but still.

Eye colour was a big deal as I didn't really know how to do proper video post-production stuff to fix it.

Also, some people didn't respond quickly, didn't have access to the cat or didn't have suitable recording equipment. A lot of people assumed we just wanted a few photos - a necessary bit of confusion as I tried to keep the project secret from everyone, including Vero.

I saw a cat yesterday that was a perfect lookalike for Abbey's mom.

I for got my ant has a cat that looks like mike but he's about three times his wait and his name is smokey.
