like i saw the images at the front of the page and I was cringing because I have some weird fear over gross-out parodies where characters from children's shows act deranged. I couldn't stand reading MAD magazine for that reason and I felt my stomach turn when the MAD show had parody animations and such.. like I felt so sick playing the Cooking Mama game with the music and her scary face and the accuracy of the art and rdfhrdkhgrdkhfrgdkgf i hate it sifhdkxfhdg
THAT BEING SAID i was actually able to stomach this, PETA is pretty damn good with their creepy games :(; I'll give them that. Maybe I would have been more frightened if I was more aware of the Black/White trainers, because the woman at the front page gave me the chills.
seriously, deranged children's cartoon style accuracy, YOU'RE NOT WELCOME SOB

That bit of nonsense aside, I'm just seeing exactly it will take GameFreak or Nintendo to send a Cease and Desist or just sue.

Scrolling down, I see PETA has other games like this one. They've succeeded in convincing me that they suck ass. If I ever want to donate money to stop animal abuse, they aren't getting it.

They euthanize most of the animals donated to their shelters and they play it off as being because the animals they receive are in too horrible condition to let live. They have shock pictures of dogs and cats with gaping headwounds to 'prove' it.

Fake Edit: like not trying to be edgy or whatever, it is an actual fact that there are more animals out there than caring\wealthy humans, plus a lot of the animals they'd take in are surely mentally or physically unhealthy

it's just incredibly hypocritical since PETA will protest animal shelters not just for "inhumane living conditions", but also for euthanasia themselves

As stated earlier, there are so many more animals than there are homes to put them in. The option to euthanize animals isn't a pretty one, but it's one everyone has to accept unless you're open to having cats and dogs and other pets roaming freely around your home town. Or you could pay the salaries of the men and women who would have to take care of them indefinitely if euthanasia wasn't an option. And pay for the extra buildings to house them in and the food and the...
But most people won't do that because hey, some dog on the street ain't worth it them. And then we call PETA out for being hypocrites when they're actually one of the few groups actually doing something instead of nothing.
A topic as complicated as animal cruelty is one that's ripe for hypocrisy. Organizations like PETA are often forced into these situations just because of the sheer magnitude of the issue. Some animals are going to be beyond saving, some cities are going to have animal population problems. So animals are going to be put down, many perfectly healthy ones too. Instant hypocrisy in some eyes. But necessary hypocrisy. It's just the truth of the world we live in.
There isn't a single issue sacred enough where I can't point out some hypocrisy on the part of some group supporting it. That's the price of admission for going big in this world.
The only true hypocrisy is the hypocrisy drawn from combining expectations with apathy. These are the people who want something but aren't willful enough to do anything about it.

I disagree. While I'm certainly aware of it, I've developed an unhealthy contempt for the entire operation. Diplomacy is key in any organization on that scale. If they weren't run by unimaginative, petulant children, they could plan something beneficial to animals and the community all at once, something big that could change public perception. But no: they get the attention they want, but it's such a horrifically short-sighted method for their cause in general.

Also if they dont have the money to care for all the animals in their care, why do they keep making games like this? Couldnt it be better used on the animals and not on ads comparing the living standards of chickens to the hollocaust?
