As I understands is that most of Lucy's current thoughts are dwelling on trying to get her feelings told to Mike. She pretty much blindly overrides Zachary's words for Paulo's claim on Mike being nuts for her. Her personal experience of Mike×Sandy appears overlooked. I assumes her denial plays a big role in preventing her from thinking straight, focusing on to get committed with Mike in order to clear off haunting thoughts of Mike's future departure. Also being actually in love with him adds more emotional pressure. I guess she got a one-track mind when it comes to her needs. Well, too bad for her when she got trouble learning things even the hard way, generating such an abundance of angst that it would pave for the possibly largest arc in BCB history. It even features an alternate timeline just because the primary one doesn't have enough room to fit all that angst. You makes us proud, Lucy!
Lucy in the forth panel looks pretty badass, like she's going in for the kill of someone.

Skipping class, huh. Wonder if this is the period immediately after lunch, or the one after that. Maybe the latter, given that Daisy showed up again (between periods, one presumes).

It'd be another matter if someone was just whispering the safe word in her deaf hear of course.
Just making an example...
Ok aside from jokes, I'm looking forward to see Lucy's reaction, since that will speak for her mood and feelings at the moment.

Ha! A kick in the face, just like Daisy.
So Lucy gets the question about Mike's fan girls? Seems like she isn't surprised at all over this kind of question. Though, since they left Acapulco she started to show being jealous over girls paying attention to Mike. Understandably isn't the subject of the question very comfortable for her.

I'd like to imagine Lucy puts Mike in a tight spot with something she says, but my mind can't think of much later on to do with Mike and Rachel.

Any bets that Rachel will next ask for Mike's phone number? Or maybe she'll ask what Mike's favourite activity is, to which Lucy will respond "Sit under a tree".
Also in other news: earlier this year we had Hurricane Michael, and now we have Hurricane Sandy.

Also, Mike will breaks up with Sandy when he realizes who his true love is. Then he will go for it and ride the tree in an obsessive manner. Sadly will Hurricane Sandy be coming straight to Roseville to turn the tree into woodchips and break poor Michael's heart.
Mike×Tree OTP Forever!
BTW, I suspected Hurricane Michael took place during December, but then I realized it was the previous year.

But really, whatever is going on in Lucy's head it's amusing with Jessica implying her as the other one that hasn't let go. Though, Lucy is being pretty confident in her statement, it is just that it's not like she has some
So this will become the first chapter Augustus' name is actually mentioned? We got Daisy mentioning it in "Pillow Talk", but that chapter takes place later in the future and will be arranged so accordingly.

It seems a bit odd that Lucy's being so talkative to Rachel and Jessica though. I don't believe she's had any interaction with either of them before this point.
A bit of a weirdo loner, huh? So am I Augustus now?

Wacko, I acknowledges my language could use some development. I'm actually doing studies in English. It's good getting an enlightenment in there is a good reason I'm doing those.
Lucy knows the story of Daisy almost getting
Daisy was doing it fine until she learned Mike was taken, the boy she put so much hope in. However, she is doing good progress in overcoming her lack of self-confidence. Jessica and Rachel makes a great addition of friends to her, unlike Katie.
Might David's appearance indicate he's the next person to interact with Jessica and Rachel? We knows he got quite a peculiar way to engage in conversations.

Augustus isn't necessarily "up to no good" either. He's not so black and white as that. Yes, he works for Alejandro's gang, but that doesn't mean he likes the job. Definitely he wants to protect Daisy from harm, and he's even given Lucy honest advice too, so we know he's not entirely void of compassion.

I actually see this somewhat differently. What changed during the "Awakening" arc was not that Mike suddenly became unavailable – Mike had always unavailable to Daisy. Although they were friends, Mike was never interested in her and until the "Old Flame" arc had been chasing after Lucy. Instead, I think a major factor in precipitating her depression in the "Awakening" arc was the fact that Paulo also became unavailable. Indeed, the current page seems to emphasize this fact as it shows both Mike and Paulo when it mentions guys looking past her. Now, of course, Daisy didn't have a crush on Paulo, but Paulo had always been a source of support for Daisy. After all, both had crushes on two extremely popular members of the opposite sex and both were constantly rejected by them as well as overshadowed by them. I'd like to imagine that these commonalities would have enabled Daisy and Paulo to better empathize with each other, allowing them to commiserate in their loneliness together. Indeed, Paulo helps pick Daisy up many times when she's down, and he's first one she would seek for support. So when Daisy is feeling depressed that Mike has a girlfriend and Paulo ignores her, she has nowhere to turn. Paulo had been her best friend to that point, and she certainly couldn't turn to her other close friends (Mike or Lucy). Thus, it's really the combination of both Mike's unavailability (which triggers her depression) and Paulo's unavailability (which takes away her source of support), that drove her crisis.
