It's been 50 years since the first James bond book by Ian Fleming and in 8 days the new movie called sky fall will be released to the public, so what are your thoughts about the new movie?

Didnt it like, hit the cinemas yesterday? I might go watch it, I'm not really a james bond fan or movie person to begin with but maybe it'll be fun
Something that's really pissing me off is that the skyfall song is all over the radio right now. Hate it when they just throw stuff at you like that.

I'm not really fond of this version of James Bond. He's a bit too rugged for how I imagine the character, though that might just be me. This is the Bond of my childHOOD: (Edit, forgot a pretty important word there haha)

That being said, I probably will watch it when it eventually hits here (dubbing over the film tend to take some time)

Yeah, I feel like Pierce Brosnan will always be Bond in my eyes. Don't get me wrong, Connery is the man, but Brosnan is just so...suave.

Connery was great, always prefered Dalton myself. Mostly because he was the first one to remove a little of the campy shit.
Though on the topic of Skyfall, I saw it last week and it's by a mile the best of the Daniel Craig films. I mean, it's hardly difficult to be better than QoS but Casino Royale was a pretty great film if you look over the obscene amounts of product placement and that they took maaaaaaybe one or two pointers from the Bourne movies

So many people are gonna hurt themselves with a straight razor because of this movie.
I just hope this doesn't make the product placement trend any worse.

Hey look I'm reviving a thread Ihopethat'sokay
So Skyfall finally rolled into town and I watched it (English, with subtitles. I prefer it, but my French speaking host brother couldn't stand it) I have to say, I loved it. I've never been the biggest fan of James Bond because Casino Royale put me off it for a long time. I found out how much I love the Bond formula. The villain was wonderfully deranged, and I LOVED the opening sequence. I've always been a sucker for those. My only complaint would how Bond was shot in the chest and fell like a hundred feet into the water. And then just survived. No explanation, but I suppose that's what to be expected for a 007 movie.
I might have to start watching all of the classic 007 movies now. Though not all in one day, because even a great formula gets old.

I don't think I'll bother watching this, I'm just not into the Bond thing. I did watch a commercial for Heineken with Daniel Craig in it, performing as 007. It was, surprisingly, a pretty funny commercial. It only really had a chase scene and some close-ups of some guy's face, but it managed to keep my attention for a while.
