Who are you voting for? Abbey vs. Sue
I still don't know who to pick. I haven't heard Sue do anything but retaliate, and now Daisy is stepping up. (she's going to win otherwise it'd be a bit pointless if she were to step up and then lose...kinda anti-climatic.)

To early to decide in my opinion for all we know Sue could have some evil plan based around idk shaving everyone in the school to make coats for the teachers.

She has gotten the chance on multiple occasions. She has used these chances to insult her opposition. ^_^

That's an opinion I don't agree with =P
I meant at the debate, the only question we had so far has only been answered by Abbey.
Actually, I think it would be Tess' responsibility as host to give the right to speak to each of them in turns.
That not having happened, Abbey answered first, and Sue answered back to refute his statements.
She hasn't had much of a chance to speak, imo
And we have to remember, what happened the last 2 weeks in real time (since the debate started) was probably a minute or two in BCB time. Sue will get her chance. But we might not hear it.

Oh? But you must remember that the question was posed to both parties. Abraham did answer first, yes. What Sue did, rather than form a counter-argument, was to call him a fascist and a totalitarian. ^_^

Well, it didn't seem to me Sue said anything out of place. She just said whatever was in the context of the situation. She probably answered after.
So I still would vote for Sue.
Taeshi-san's comment was saying Abbey is extremely conservative and Sue is extremely liberal, and Daisy gets the better points in each side,
so if I could vote for Daisy I would. But, if it's Sue or Abbey... Sue.
And I can't really see Sue as being extremely liberal...

Me neither. I wouldn't vote Daisy until I heard what she had to say though.
This whole debate is kind of silly now. We're choosing between 2 candidates without hearing what either had to say.
I think the poll should be modified to include Daisy.

At least it appears from Taeshi's comments that Daisy ran on her own merits rather than being a mere substitute for Abbey. Still, without hearing what Daisy had to say (or even Sue really), I don't know who I would have voted for. Though if Abbey had still been in the running, I doubt I would have voted for him.
This mirrors a similar problem I sometimes face in real life, deciding between the New Democrats (left of center) and Liberals (centrist party). This is essentially Sue vs. Daisy.

Well, so Daisy did turn out to be just a proxy for Abbey, however unintended it might have been on her part. One could argue that this is electoral deception and misrepresentation, but the school principal doesn't seem likely to care either way.
Unfortunately, since most of the juniors and seniors remember Tess and Roger's reign of terror, Abbey will likely find it easy to convince the new student president and vice-president that they should take a hard line on bullies. With a majority student council vote and support from the school administration, the older students will probably do whatever they can to retroactively punish Tess, despite the fact Tess has changed since two years ago. Hence Abbey would find himself in the position of being a hypocrite, since he was the one that said, "What has been done in the past does not justify your cruel actions in the present... it doesn't matter."
Now Daisy may still think Abbey campaigned for her, but we know it was actually Paulo. So really, if Daisy was going to give the position of secretary to anyone, it should be Paulo.
PAULO FOR SECRETARY
Yeah, Paulo's not going to be too happy that he indirectly helped Abbey to win by getting people to vote for Daisy.
Hmm... wasn't Alec running for vice-president? Wonder how he did? If he did get elected, he could be the deciding vote on the student council. I think it's likely Jasmine got elected as treasurer, since she seems to be likable among the freshmen.
There really needs to be a discussion thread for each new storyline. Let us resolve to commence this in the new year.

I wonder if the student council has assigned any tasks of menial drudgery to Tess, similar to what Paulo got from Abbey. If so, Paulo may try to stick up for Tess, which may cause further jealousy and/or mockery on Jasmine's part.

I'm pretty sure she knew it from the beggining, she said she was "Stepping in" for Abbey, and immediatley admitted she was giving him the position once the election was over.

Now this is a good point. A point that I like a lot. That Tess reign of terror thing is a plus because it will encourage people to give heavier sentences

Daisy said that Abbey seemed to have "forfeited for now", and she'd like to take his place. She stepped in because she saw that Abbey was in no position to continue his campaign. However, did Daisy at that time clearly state that she'd be giving the position of secretary to Abbey if she won? There's really no indication of that at all until after the election is over. And in fact, according to Taeshi, Daisy ran on her own beliefs, not those of Abbey. So perhaps you're right, Daisy always intended to be only a temporary replacement from the start, but if so, she was misleading the student population. I think Daisy is as guilty of blindly helping Abbey out of pure generosity as Paulo was of helping her.

but at the same time I 100% agree with the quote "What has been done in the past does not justify your cruel actions in the present... it doesn't matter" and I don't think it's hypocritical at all. If I found out a friend had done some nasty shit in the past i'd forgive him/her because their nice now, and i'm an asshole!
The hypocritical part is that Abbey is enabling the older students to potentially punish Tess rather than forgive her.

The second part of your statement is true. However, many of the older students don't seem anywhere close to forgiving Tess for what she did in the past. (Just ask Jessica or Rachel.) So it remains to be seen whether Tess will completely escape censure for her past actions, even though she is clearly trying to be a better person now.

If it's old news the school won't bother with it. She'd have to do SOMETHING for the old offences to have any effect on her. Heck a threat would be enough, but she don't threaten people no more.
Edit: Yeah perhaps Daisy was being a bit misleading but she's all lovey dovey with Abbey and believes he knows best about ]how to rule the school with an iron fist. running secretary.
