Steam 4 Linux

This past July, Valve announced that they would be porting Steam to Linux/Ubuntu/what-have-you. September 26th, Valve announced that they would be releasing a beta version to 1,000 competent Linux-users for debugging. They followed through October 29th, a bit over a week ago.

I for one run Linux (11.10, so a bit behind) and am looking forward to Linux's rise in the gaming industry.

Remember that time when Linux was 1% of the worldwide desktop OS usage?

Remember that time that everything that isn't a personal computer was running on linux? Yer livin in it.

Though srsly, even with steam, I don't think a lot of games are going to be released for Linux just now, eh. I alternate between Windows and Ubuntu, but I don't know enough about it to volunteer for beta testing.
