I'm not sure there is about to be a violent train wreck of any sort. Perhaps just a minor bump.
Paulo could indeed simply say that it was the time issue, and that wouldn't be a lie, as he did comment on that issue before (and more than once). However, the real reason he's breaking up with Jasmine now is because of Lucy, and I think Paulo owes it to Jasmine to tell her the truth, even if it would hurt her feelings more. I think he will indeed choose the latter course of action. Jasmine, being as mature as she is, will get over it (she did suggest seeing other people anyway).

I had one or two but when I posted them I didn't realize they were around 1000x1000 and I was scrambling to find a decent sized picture.

If you look at the relationship chart, you'll see that Jasmine is jealous of both Lucy and Tess. She knows that they both care for Paulo, and that he occasionally does things for them. So Jasmine's really just jealous of Paulo's close friendship with other girls, not because she specifically knows that Paulo loves Lucy. Though it wouldn't surprise me if Jasmine were smart enough to realize Paulo would probably inevitably drift to some other girl because she herself doesn't have a whole lot of time for him, and thus it's better to just break off the relationship with him as soon as possible so no one gets hurt.

But yeah, Jasmine is totally jealous. Like mentioned, Lucy is the most prominent subject. Jasmine is indeed also jealous of Tess, but she is actually more jealous of Rachel for a logical reason.
Aside from Lucy acting all jealous during that hallway confrontation in "Back and Forth", I guess most of Jasmine's knowledge was based on gossips. Even if Lucy and Paulo initially stopped being together since that incident, Paulo's dedication for Lucy became more apparent to Jasmine as time progressed. Without a doubt would such a situation make Jasmine wonder if Paulo wasn't going to start float over to Lucy.

At this point, we have any concept of Paulo×Jasmine washed overboard. It gotta suck for Jasmine to hear from Paulo that she isn't his preference, and that the prospect of possibly reconciling is just wishful thinking.

I wonder if Augustus will escort her to the party. He may refrain from entering the house though, as Tess wouldn't have invited him to the party. Though if Lucy insists that he step in for a moment, who is he to say no? It'd be a chance for him to see Daisy, and maybe wish her a Happy New Year. It'd also stir the pot by making a number of people suspicious (not that he cares about that).
