Lucy's new default face? Reminds me of Augustus' poker-face featuring those typical gloss-less eyes. Could Lucy possibly have the mental strength to adapt Augustus' way of coping? After all, it has been indicated it is Lucy's love for Mike that keeps her going. She has however already made an impression on her family.
I've actually been wondering how much Yashy has been sounding over the truth of Flea being in a commitment with someone else. She got potential to reveal a hint behind Lucy's depression to the family, but I guess Yashy could simply be irrelevant to the matter.

I dont like the new lucy. Ever since mike broke her spirt in december thats all shes done is mope around. So I hope it is a therapist shes going to. She just needs to let it out like abbey did. And what the fuck zachie he could have at least gave her his number so she could call him. He was a pretty good therapist.

Lucy certainly should have a say in this. That said, I do think she will be open to the idea of therapy. Maybe she could even ask Abbey if he'd recommend his own therapist.
And who knows, perhaps Lucy does have Zachary's phone number. If so, she could talk to him as well (and then thank him by giving him the song he paid $100 for).
That'll be a large phone bill, considering he lives in Acapulco, but it could be worth it to vent and get some advice.
I do hope Lucy truly can get past Mike and find fulfillment in her own life though, rather than simply being content to see Mike happy the same way Daisy's happiness keeps Augustus going.
The final panel on this page turned out rather well, I think. Must be hard to do that sort of thing with watercolours.

Ace, that makes no sense. considering that a lot of arranged marriages into royalty are meant to keep lineage and status intact, Lucy being sent off to marry into David's royal line is nonsense. 1, Lucy holds no political significance and she is hardly David's Princess Diane. 2, cats and dogs cannot fuck with the goal of making babies in mind. 3. David's dick is two baseball bats long, too much for Lucy to handle

Maybe David is in fact a female hyena? It would make sense if everyone took David for a dog, even if hyenas are more related to felines. Also would Paulo×David in that case be totally straight no matter how gay it looked.
Lucy sitting in her room moping is indeed already obvious. The reason why has however not been made clear for the family. Jordan has an assumption someone did it, but don't know whom. Lucy's mother must certainly have made effort to reach her daughter, but Lucy would without a doubt deny her mother any acknowledgement about her issues. What I was thinking of was the possibility of Yashy hollering out about Mike's commitment, having Lucy's mother hearing it. If she found out Lucy's lingering mopiness was based on angst over Mike, I think Lucy's mother would for a start be responsible and have a proper talk with Lucy rather than just giving her space. But probably is Yashy sitting silent moping for herself just like her mom.

Thats to much david anatomy info. They are going to send lucy to the school where sandy is so they can become best of freinds and lucy can lern how to act like sandy. Wen school is over lucy will kill sandy and were her skin then come back to mike and live happily ever after.

On topic, I believe that Lucy will accept getting the therapy that she so desperately needs, but she is going to be very cold and resistant towards it for a long time. She also could do some self-therapy like the flashback chapter where she rethought all her memories about Mike.
She didn't really get anywhere, but hey something may happen.

Yes, David is indeed a spotted hyena of female gender. It's incorrect to refer to David's exceptionally ample genital as a dick. What Paulo would be doing to wouldn't really be a foreskin; as a matter of fact it would be a clitoris. The pseudo-penis' exceeding thickness over the male counterpart is a normal trait for David's breed. It's also capable of erection, enabling David to copulate with other females. Lucy might not find this enjoyable, but her current mental health will cloud most of the pain.

Seems like Mike isn't a partygoer. Personally would I also think throwing another party just a week later to be too much. It's just not always easy for people to pass without feeling guilt over a disappointed friend.
It indeed appears Paulo keeps being worried about Lucy. Tess is certainly concerned for Paulo. If they talks at some point, would Paulo reveal what's on his heart?

Mike's opinion is certainly only a matter we readers can speculate on. I would say he's the kind of guy that don't mind having people around him at all, but like mentioned he could a little bit tired of going wild. That doesn't necessarily mean he would be unhappy only because he's having his holiday's second party. Some people are energized by it while other can find it exhausting in the long run, even if they finds it to be a lot of fun.
By the way, how often does Tess really throw a party? Besides this winter, the only party she arranged that is featured in the comic was the Christmas party from the previous year.
About people assuming Mike is bitching seems to have the assumption he's emotional dependent on Sandy. I would take that as a product of Mike-haters' typically wild interpretations with the purpose to fuel their despise.

Yeah, I really don't want everyone to baby Lucy and go on a Mike witch hunt. Lucy does need some support from them, but she doesn't need to be babied. And while Mike could have been more graceful with his confession to Lucy, he doesn't need to have his head on a stick either. :/

Paulo does still seem to be troubled, not only about Lucy, but also about the Lucy/Jasmine conflict brewing in his heart. Tess sees that Paulo's not his usual self, so of course she's concerned. Wonder if this will set up for Paulo deciding to break up with Jasmine later tonight so as to start off the new year on a fresh page? Seems a bit early for that, especially since Paulo doesn't yet know what happened to Lucy in "December", but you never know.

If so, that's not really within her control, but it still affects Paulo, since he's not the sort who can go awhile without spending quality time with his girlfriend. I like where this chapter is going a lot. I hope we get to focus a bit more on the actual party than in "At Loose Ends". I mean, I want more Lucy and Augustus (I'm dying to know what's going on with them), but yeah.
I also think it's weird throwing a party right after the first one. Not because of Abbey or Lucy's troubles, though. My friends and I wouldn't wait if one of us had a serious issue. We'd of course help in every way we could and try to be consoling, but you know what I mean.

Possibly! Just like the yellow one, the new scarf Mike got from Sandy is probably just a regular piece of fabric. The original blue scarf Mike found in a Walmart outlet happens to be a legendary artifact that's enchanted with powerful magics of unknown origin. It gave Mike a substantial resistance to any of Lucy's abuse, physical and emotional alike. Mike never realized this himself, but when he stopped wearing that scarf he became vulnerable. The continued exposure to pain is what deteriorated his mood. Heh, and he thought he didn't need it.
I got a theory that the original scarf's enchantment amplified when it got imbued with Mike's own blood. It could possibly be used to cure Lucy's absence of self-love and make her independent. The question is though: Would it be worth the risk of having such a mighty item falling into the hands of someone who might conceivably abuse it?
