Awww yeah I called it pages ago that Lucy just likes to sit and think about life on rooftops.
I'm not so sure that Lucy wasn't contemplating suicide among her earlier thoughts. It may indeed have been fortunate that Augustus showed up at that moment; Lucy may have been reminded of his previous comment about the idiocy of
throwing her life away.
Augustus was also quick to remind Lucy that she had people who
cared about her. Not only her family, but also Paulo and Sue and her other friends as well. I'm sure Lucy is thinking about that, and deciding on her next steps. Perhaps she will indeed seek therapy, i.e. get help from someone who is qualified. A therapist would be someone to confide in, and would also keep things confidential, so that she doesn't need to lean on or share of herself as much with others. So Lucy might admit to her mother that she does need help, and ask her to make an appointment with a therapist. In any case, it's good that she's taking her time to consider things well.
I'm wondering what the next chapter will be about. Perhaps it will be more light-hearted, a small break before Taeshi draws ever more deeply from the well of angst. Or maybe we'll just get appetizers of angst before the main course of angst. If so, I guess this chapter could be considered an angst cocktail?
