Bittersweet Candy Bowl Forums

Yeaahh I'm back on the forums again. And thankfully my old art topic was deleted so haha I don't have to reorganize and update that rustbucket! And I'll just use this dandy new topic to post new stuff of mine which I hope will appeal to y'all. To kick things off I shall post a work in progress of a reboot of my old comic I posted on here. It's clearly not done at all yet and since I have yet to put in the word bubbles containing what bits of conversation would go where you people will be horribly confused. So ignore that and just give me opinions and pointers as to what should be done to make this actually look good.



Couple of things on that, yes that is Rick, yes I know that he seems to be wearing the same outfit in a reboot, and no this isn't going to be a star trek parody. Posting this awful work in progress mostly so you art pros out there can give me some tips on how to color this, mostly things like skin tones and such. Also if I need to adjust or fix anything to make the comic seem more engaging. And if it helps the art program I'm using now is Manga Studio 4

And yeah historical reference is what they're probably best for now. Really though I thank you for going out of your way to find these.

If you want me to take a crack at drawing something go ahead and ask wacko I'll be happy to apply the effort!

It is actually quite easy to track down threads which you started. Nevertheless, if you really feel like rewarding me, you can attempt an Abbey for me.

Unfortunately I'm not an artist, so I can't offer much help on improving your work. Although I will say that buying condoms no longer holds much embarrassment for me.

I'll see how good of an Abbey I can produce by this day's end. And I've kind of gotten over that too. Mostly because I don't see that one cashier anymore when I'm getting them. Although I preferred it back when I could just grab them and set it on the counter, now they hang them on the walls and I have to ask for one and it ends up "This one here?" "No, the uh, the one up top" "This?" "No, It's the purple one on the- gah, It's the sensations one. Sheesh." Oh and most of the cashiers are not that good at English at least not without a heavy accent.


Anyways that Abbey yeah I'll post that up soon as I can today.

There's that Abbey. Or Chibi Abbey I guess. I don't know why but when I get asked to draw Abbey I always have an urge to make him chibi style to a point. Oh and he's got a little gift ya since it's the season

Chibi Abbey is cute! The design kind of reminds me of stuffed-toy Reynardine from Gunnerkrigg Court.

I'm glad you picked up on that. At first I was thinking of making him a stuffed toy Abbey but when I implemented the button eyes it looked something straight out of Coraline.
