I like the texture contrast a lot. It works well with the watercolor.
That Red Pill/Blue Pill video was a shitty thing to post, I admit. It wasn't intentionally shitty; it's the only thing to which my mind could connect blue/red with the continuation or aversion of the story. Though I guess there wouldn't be a story if the parents hadn't just taken them both and said, "Fuck you, Mysterious Cult! Poor Lucy, she's deeply cursed. This explains the robe now, she grew up to be an acolyte of whatever cult that is. Although the cynical part of me wonders whether the 'curse' isn't just a ploy for the cult to readily gain new and pliable members to brainwash.
This is an interesting play Sue wrote, I'd like to hear more of it. Actually I kind of enjoy these little stories-within-a-story, such as the "hypocritical situation" which David related back in "Intervention". I also like that the parents have fur colours similar to those of Lucy and Mike. Clearly Jessica knows how to cast people.

Thinking of popular speculations, there is one of those that theorizes the specific conflict between Lucy and Mike would cause the downfall of the play. Although, Paulo's debut is providing the growing implication of something could go horribly wrong by other means. Could Sue have allowed something that she's going to regret?
As for Lucy, if she's seriously so broken that she could throw herself over Paulo for being a faggot (again), I'm starting to think that promise Mike made Sandy could be turning into a necessity. After all, it's a matter about Lucy developing a personal integrity, or otherwise she might end up contributing to the U.S. teenage pregnancy rate.

So, basically, what we could expect to observe here is that Link Mike 'saves' Zelda Lucy from Ganon Paulo yet never actually enters a meaningful relationship with her or receives any sort of legitimate gratitude, ever; rather, Zelda Lucy keeps mysteriously ending up 'kidnapped' by Ganon Paulo over and over again.
Not that I ship MikexLucy - it just seems too broken at this point, and I would prefer alternative outcomes - but when you pause to consider it, there is a relatively sizable amount of potential parallelism occurring between the current instance of the BCB plot and the staple video game structure of the late 20th century.
Also, the next page is going to be just so much fun if that door is the one to Lucy'sundressing room.

If Mike does catch Lucy making out with Paulo, that will likely only make him annoyed and more convinced of Lucy's dependence on others. Hopefully he doesn't forget his lines as a result. Come to think of it, his thought about not having had a proper read-through may mean that he actually hasn't rehearsed much with Lucy at all, which is not exactly good practice for the two leading roles. Yeah, this play is gonna be a disaster, isn't it.
Sorry Sue, you had good intentions, but these two didn't even get together to rehearse outside of school, much less become friends again. Although it'd be awesome if somehow the whole drama was played out on stage without any acting at all, thus making for a more compelling play than Sue intended. I believe the relationship that is in jeopardy right now is Mike and Paulo's even though nether of them will say what really happened between them, because Mike isn't such an idiot that he'd spill it and Lucy won't be so malicious as to potentially ruin his other relationships.
