PolitiFact And the Chamber of Secrets

I found this site today that gauges the truth to basically any political statement made by either party. Seems fairly balanced seeing that both sides are seared in a cleansing flame.

This falls on the same day as their announcement of the Biggest Lie of the Year which is:
*drum roll*

The claim that the Democratic health care law is a "government takeover of health care" is our 2010 Lie of the Year.

For further entertainment, check out the Obameter...which basically just tracks his campaign promises and how much he's kept his word (the answer may or may not surprise you).

Weigh in on this, bitches.

People who strike in both directions tend to make me a bit nervous. It is as though they want to claim the foremost spot themselves...

I quite like the Obama-Meter they have going on there. Keeps things in perspective.

It's the surest way to stay neutral, ILB ;)
Political parties are always gonna be fighting for themselves, and extremes are never good on any side. By having the two (or more) major parties keeping each other in check all the time, we have yet another method of avoiding a large scale, extremist take over.

I really love these news thingies that attack and support both sides. When you take a side, you lose your reason. Only an unpartial entity can be 100% rational.

But third parties are never neutral. They are either subconsciously biased, or they have agendas of their own. ^_^

they may not be neutral, as absolute neutrality is impossible to achieve. But if they AIM to be neutral, I admire them.
