Just wondering. I've been into RC planes since I was 14. Went to pilot school then (they had free ground school classes) and I passed the exam, but I didn't have the money to take the flying lessons. Someday I hope to, but until then I'm into RC planes.

I've got my B wings, so I can handle most of the faster aerobatic planes... flew fuel powered for a while but now I'm getting into electrics. My electric jet is my fav. plane at the moment it can push 100 km/hour out of a dive. 8-)

I have never been very much interested in them, although I have a certain fascination with them - if I get my hands on an RC plane, I will try to fly it. Unfortunately, I am not cut out to steer anything, and as so I have nearly destroyed my younger sister's plane. Not that she treated it any better, though. ^_^

You gotta get with a flying club. One of the experienced guys there will show you the ropes. It took me 2 summers to learn to fly solo, and another 2 to 3 years learning aerobatics / fast planes etc. I'm nowhere near done yet, time to get a faster one! 8-)

Next project should be one of these:

No idea about them, whatsoever
However, on some of the air bases I've lived on, the pilots and a few enthusiasts would show up with scale jet planes.
Not sure what scale, but for example, a Tornado model was 2m or so long
Cool stuff

Oh yeah, that turbine stuff is awesome. Too expensive for me and most here, I've seen one fly only once.

On an airbase huh? Are you a pilot / in the millitary? That'd be kinda awesome.

Military Kid, really.
Lived on airbases/staff college my entire life until a few years ago, now live in a commuter town between two of the big military admin places
Dad was a pilot, too old for it now :>

I've got a wicked helicopter. It's infra-red, so not exactly RC. I've never had enough experience with them, but I bet if I'm exposed to them I'll love 'em.

@Cloud: that's so cool, I bet you heard tons of interesting stories.

@Dr.Klaus: you bet - those little helicopters are fun. If you're looking at something with a bit more control, try the Blade MSR - it's fairly cheap and excellent for the price. I have one and love it.

More than just heard em, kid ;)
(I've always wanted to call someone kid, amusing)

Back when nerds were cool, me and my friendhelped build this Eurofighter turbine thing . It was the coolest thing ever made... we have a video:

I can fly my micro-mosquito pretty well. It's possible I'm getting a more serious rc helicopter (maybe even a blade MSR) for christmas.
