This thread is for all the Canadians who read Bittersweet Candy Bowl and love the comic. Non-Canadians who are living or working in Canada are also welcome to join. Maybe we can get a little conversation going, eh?

The roster below lists all the active Canadians I know of on this board. For the initial version of the roster, I've chosen to omit those people who only have a couple of posts. So if you're Canadian but not on the list, feel free to join in and declare your Canuck status!

Aw, isn't he a lovable Jerk? We should kidnap him, adopt him and teach him our ways.

If you're feeling lonely, we can adopt you as an honourary Canadian, at least until someone starts a BCB Europe group.

I take it you're Canadian also? If so, welcome to the club!

PFFT. We have Oklahoma and Nebraska as an excellent defense against Canadian invasion. If you can navigate the treacherous maize mazes of 'Braska and survived the fecal stench of Oklahoma, only then will you have reached fertile Texan soil.
  • #19

Mikanada, you don't by chance know a guy named Joe, do you?

Jerk: It's true I've never been past South Dakota by land. By air though... well, beware of the Royal Canadian Air Force. They'll drop their crap on your lawn.
  • #21

I've never been too far north as far as the Midwest is concerned. Nebraska or Missouri or Iowa, tops, but I've been to San Francisco and NYC, so it's not like I'm some bumpkin who's never been anywhere.

My uncle is Quebecois. The scary kind. n_n

I've been to Texas once. San Antonio though, not Dallas.

I've been around the United States, mostly by air. My dad doesn't do roadtrips anymore. My roadtrip to Alaska in 2005 rocked though.
  • #23

I think San Antonio is probably better than Dallas anyway. All we have is the Grassy Knoll if you want to see the last place a president was assassinated. Oh, and Dallas City Hall was used as the setting for the OCP Headquarters in the Robocop movies. That's about it. :3

The rest of my family has been to NYC, but I haven't. The closest I've been to New York is Niagara Falls.

TheBellBoy and Wolf have now been added to the roster.
  • #29

Well I'm by NYC, the awesome part of the state

Ketchup potato chips. Maple butter. Hamilton Tiger Cats. Toronto Rock. Timbits. -10 celcius is mild. 10 dollar beer at the game is the normal.

Hmmm. Oh, everything is central right in our politics. Which in the states is still 20 points to the left. Funny.

Public schools are actually good, for the most part.

Everyone is goddamn nice. Like, 90 percent of people. Sometimes is scary how many times I say sorry in a week over trivial things.

I will kidnap Rukral, because he must be kidnapped in 2011
  • #46

Sounds about right. Our public healthcare is fairly good as well.

I'm happy to be a Canadian, and I count myself lucky to have been born in this great Country.
