So far, I've been lucky enough to make peace with anyone I've had trouble with. How about you guys?
  • #1

Yeah.
  • #2

I was just kind of wondering how common it is.
  • #3

Not currently. As a general rule, I don't tend to have enemies for very long. ;)

So you find a way to level with them?

Myself.

That's an odd thing to say. What do you mean?

*The Ninja sighs one of those sighs that one sighs when one is confronted with the total inability to pick up on what was only a slightly subtle hint.*

I voted "other" for a reason. :smirk:

So you beat them into submission? :smirk:
  • #9

Yes I do... well, sort of?
I mean, those that could be considered My enemies... well, we don't talk or interact much one with the other...

Complete and total lack of caring and motivation.

Submission? Any victory won through such means is only temporary. And that is all I am going to say on the matter.

I'm not sure if you really feel this way, but in case you do:

I felt that way after my dad left my mom in the summer. I would spend all day, and all night laying on the couch, imagining what it would be like to be dead. This went on for weeks. Eventually, it got so bad I stopped eating, and I went to the doctor. He gave me some medicine that helped a little, or at least dulled the pain.

In the end, the only thing that really helped me was going back to doing what I love. After I went back to university and doing physics, I started to feel better again.

Do you have something that you love to do? Can you find something that interests you? Give it a shot! It really helps.

If you need someone to talk to, feel free to send me a PM. Best of luck to you.

I'm not emo. I just don't care. There's a difference. I'm not going to put that much effort into thinking about death, if I wanted to find out I'd kill myself. Its the lack of wanting to put effort into anything and compartmentalizing till I barely feel anything.

The only thing that entertains me for very long anymore and isn't just 'something to do' is watching people and their reactions to stimuli. Aka, mind games with humans as the subjects.

Apparently this is some form of minor depression. And I'm not going to go into my life's story and focus entirely on myself like some whiny . Its as simple as 'I don't care'.

This thread went down the toilet almost as soon as I posted it. Now we have racism / ethnocentrism here.

Could a moderator please lock it?

Edit - and Ammanas, you seem to have some fairly unappealing ideas. I have friends from many different nationalities, and you shouldn't hold to these pretenses. Please think about this carefully.

Things could always be worse, starwatcher. Oh wait, nope, they couldn't. Sorry.

I'd rather keep a simmering amount of hatred with people than be all out enemies, but there is at least one guy that at the very least hates me. It really doesn't do any good to completely freak the fuck out on people, there ain't much to gain from that, although I find hatred to a motivating force when used right.
  • #19

I maintain my request. This thread should no longer exist, and starting it was a mistake.
  • #20

They say that the hardest part of learning is being able to admit your mistakes.

Of course they also say that raw egg can help you recover from a hangover (lies :nope: ).

Lots of water and lots of starchy food.
  • #22

It was a mistake for what reason exactly? The base idea was completely sound for conversation.
  • #23

I'm way too forgiving to be hateful, usually when someones actions get me mad, I hold a grudge against them for their actions, but then it starts to eat at my soul for being a hateful person, then I go into the "why the hell do these people exist" phase, a bunch of high school angst later, and I'm friends with the person...
I cant hate, I can be very criticizing, but thats really it.
  • #24

My only enemy is this giant bright ball in the sky that wakes me every morning with it's annoying brightness.
  • #25

Ammanas is the new Chazfullmetal. Attention-seeking and whiny.

My enemy is my drug-addicted, jealousy-wracked ex-friend who tried to rape my girlfriend when she was on work experience. Luckily she had the sense to grab one of the stilleto-heeled shoes that she had been wearing, and stab him in the stomach with it. Thankfully the prick is behind bars.

i have 2:
- my neighbour, we used to be friends, but the asshat stole from me.
- a girl from my collegue. i hate her, and not that "hate but its love actually" its the natural competitive and deadly battle for superiority... i used to like her but... arrggg im confused now!!
  • #28

society is my enemy
  • #29

My brother and this girl with a very high-pitched voice are my only enemies. Most of the time, I forget why I hate a person and then they stop being an enemy.

The concept I have of "having an enemy" is too childish. So, no, I don't.

I don't wish bad things for anyone, especially the ones who might dislike me. I wish they got really really happy and got on with their lives and leave me be.
I don't consider that as 'having enemies'.
Should I? 8-D
  • #33

WHAT AM I ?! FUCKING BATMAN OR SOMETHING ?!
  • #34

"Do you have an enemy?"

Yup. XD Every time we passed each other in the hall whoever was fastest on the draw would make a snide comment while the other returns fire with a witty come back.

There were also the people I kicked, but that's not personal enough. XD
  • #35

I have enough enemies that I can be comfortable in my surroundings.

Explanation: I have enough enemies that I don't worry about an individual who plots my absolute destruction, but with many enemies I can relax since they conflict with each other over which one will plot my downfall. They all become enemies with each other and the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" rule applies. SO... I don't worry about it. But to answer the simple question without the over logical question; yes I have an enemy.
  • #36

Only one, and I know I'm better than him anyways so I don't care much :P
  • #37

I very rarely make enemies, but when I do I hold grudges for a very long time.
  • #38

What a silly thread...
I used to think I had enemies, when I was younger and more foolish (and probably still am foolish ^^), nowadays I don't. I might get pissed off with people, but regarding them as an enemy? Nahh, that'd imply I was out to get them all the time, if I dislike someone that much I simply stop caring about them until they do something to interfere with me.

Even people who I used to hate, I just don't care about em. I even met some guys from way back when I was at another school, at the time we had "hated" each other, meeting them again and we got along just fine.

Shirley fucking Burns.
An 80-year-old, wrinkled up, hypocritical know-it-all hyper-aggressive control freak who thinks sentences like "they should have left that handicapped child in the middle of the highway" are socially appropriate.
You can not find a person I am more willing to beat the fuck out of than her.
  • #46

I have a few enemies, actually. Lazy shits I work with who think they know how to do my department, which they've never worked in, better than me, who's been there longer than anyone besides the supervisor.
  • #47

DMLD is everyone's enemy
  • #48

He's not my enemy actually he's my friend, but then again I have no enemies (except for one person)
