MMG 10: Snow Bound How the hell have we played 10 of these already?

Character choosing is closed except to people already playing if their character gets killed off.

Ah, so here we all are again, another day, another game and more deaths than you can count to come. As always I am pleased to that you will be joining us for yet another riveting game. Or maybe this is your first time here, I could care less either way, but one thing you should know before joining us is that this is game will not be played like the others. I am introducing new elements to this quest, new ways to find clues, interact, and ultimately, decide who lives and who dies.

The Story: Fourteen graduates from a small prep school have gathered after ten years for a reunion. Some have brought assorted companions with them so the number rounds off at 20. The former class President has commandeered the use of her private ski lodge for them. They are all being drove up there in a large limo, that will leave soon afterwards and strand them there until pick up a week from now. There is neither Cell phone reception nor radios, but this is suppose to be a week of relaxation from the trip goers’ active lives, so many are happy for the lack of communication with the outside world. The car ride is quite long, so let’s all reintroduce ourselves while we travel.

1. Terra Jones (To be played and Hosted by Leaving a Comment)- a business mogul and the arranger of this whole trip. She was the class president and charged with heading the class reunion. She is know for being hard headed and over the top, but relatively easy to get along with. After taking over the family company from her father, she was shot into the world of celebrities, rubbing elbows with the very rich and famous, and downing drinks as well. Though a bit of a party animal, she is an excellent business woman, becoming professional and polite when she deems the time right.

2. Darcy Williams(Pencil)- Terra’s assistant and right hand woman. Always at her side and call, Darcy is sweet and polite at all times. She also attended the same school as everyone else, but Terra offered her a job right out of school and she just couldn’t refuse. Many think Darcy deserves a better job than fetching coffee for Miss Jones, but she acts like she doesn’t mind. But one can never be sure what thoughts lurk behind that smile.

3. Alastair Moore(Lark)- It is hard to pin-point what Alastair’s job is exactly, he seems to be a kind of manager/ PR man/ Business partner. Well what ever his true title is, it’s apparent he is around to clean up Terra’s messes. Any time she parties just a little to hard or long, he is always by her side keeping her in check. This dashing fellow was not part of the graduating class, but that has not stopped him from catching the eye of many a lady in the group.

4. Miles Stewart(Junior Boomer)- This reporter has gained a reputation all over the world for always being the man who can get the stories. But he is not above taking the occasional bribe from the big companies to keep his mouth shut now and then. He is as charming and nice as he was in school, being just as popular with the ladies as he was 10 years ago. Though he as been in several relationships since graduating, all of his most serious lady companions have gathered today for the retreat, this offers to be very exciting.

5. Luna Taylor(Susan)- Luna Taylor is one of the most famous chefs around the world. She creates delicacies that make the taste buds shout in rejoice at her delectable treats. But her temper is rumored to be as hot and ferocious as the kitchens she runs. This lovely cook has always caught the attention of her classmates, and her beauty and anger have not changed since high School but one thing has, she now has a daughter.

6. Yancey Taylor- This 10 year old with the mouth of a sailor is as spunky and rambunctious as her mother. She stays close by her mother’s side, shouting insults and glares at any person that tries to get close to her. No one knows who Yancy’s father really is, Luna won’t speak a word of it, but maybe some secrets will be reviled during this retreat.

7. Parker Lewis(DEAD)- this Playboy actor has barely changed since prep school. He is still as wild as carefree as he was back then, but it all plays into is “Bad Boy” facade that his fans eat up. He is known for the multitudes of women he has seduced in the years, but at the moment he seems to be settled with his current girl friend, Jazzlyn, at least for now.

8. Jazzlyn Kelly- This young model is known far and wide for her beauty. Having recently been discovered, she is still very new to the life of the rich and famous and often seen as a tad bit naive. She dutifully follows Parker though, and is happily in love with him.

9. Dalton Walker(Gameking218)- This young entrepreneur has many talents, though none of them are particularly helpful in running a business. He travels the world, looking for inventors to invest his money in, odd little gadgets often catch his eye and he as brought several of these on the trip with him. He is as eccentric and loud as some of the items he funds, but he is loyal and sweet so he has always been like a lovable pet to the class.

10. Abel Robinson(ClosetLucy)- This work centered Politician is calm, cool, and collected. Having raised himself and his younger sister since they were young and having to put himself through school at the same time was no easy challenge and has made him very serious about his work. But there is a softer side to him as well, he cares deeply for his sister and often becomes overprotective of her, while still trying to maintain his “cool older brother” status. He as always been a sort of softy towards the rest of the class as well, especially the girls.

11. Mimi Robinson(MiwAuturu)- Abel’s eccentric younger sister is constantly looking for an “Adventure”. She is out going and fun, she has a complicated private life and is just as protective of her family and friends as her brother. She currently attends the same school that graduates came from along side her best friend, Jude.

12. Jude Campbell(Rukral)- A calm and quite boy, Jude was invited to the trip so Mimi wouldn’t be so bored being the only teenager. He happily agreed and is excited to stay the week at the lodge. He is constantly teased for the fact that many people see him and Mimi as a couple, which is usually met with a horde of protests and blushing faces from both Mimi and himself. He usually stays close to Mimi’s side considering he doesn’t know anyone else, but he plans on taking tons of photos during the trip.

13. Jean Ross- After graduating from school, Jean quickly became a famous writer. She started out writing adult fiction, but has since moved to a more political based writing style. She often travels into war zones to get the more gritty details for her books. She is known for not being one of Terra’s biggest fans, stemming from a certain incident that happened during School.

14. Raya Diaz- This Ballerina is known for being one of the best in the business. She has danced all over the world, including for royalty. Though they often don’t see each other for months at a time, her best friend is still Jean Ross. They share their dislike for Terra, and more often than not, their lovers.

15. Zander Murphy(TheBellBoy)- This composer was the geek during school, but has grown into a famous piano player. He is often straight forward and chatty to complete strangers, which sometimes leaves him in awkward situations. He has a soft spot for those under him and often tries to help the underdog when ever he can. He is married to Karinya and madly in love with her.

16. Karinya Murphy(ILB)- Karinya was a famous lounge singer in Las Vegas when she met Zander. After a short romance, the pair decided to get married and became a power house couple in the music industry. She is positive and calm, constantly having to get Zander out of uncomfortable situations though it has taught her how talk her way out of almost any problem with a smile.

17. Suzette Gibson(DEAD)- A famous Indy Movie producer, she is always looking for the next story that will sky-rocket her into the big leagues. She has traveled far and wide, making her just as street smart as she is book smart. Suzette has always been well liked among the group, and often tries to mediate their problem, and almost never actually succeeds in fixing them.

18. Axel McCain(SushiJaguar)- Suzette’s loyal companion and director of most of her movies, he usually stands quietly in the background telling her what is wrong with her plans. He is blunt and straight forward all the time and this has not earned him many friends since or in high school.

19. Amabell Brown- Amabell has always been the quite one of the group. Though friendly and sweet, she just does not talk at all. She works as an illustrator for a local newspaper, choosing to live a normal and carefree life compared to the rest of her class. She is happy with her life, considering her father supports her decision financially so she is still extremely well off.

20. Santana TuckDEAD-The head of an extremely successfully hotel industry, Santana came to power shortly after her family died in a tragic car accident. She chose to sink deep into her work after school, becoming close to only a few people after graduation. She comes off as a little bit snobby when really she is just still healing from the pain.

I added stuff, look here!

The Character's pasts are left open for your interpretation and the relationships are up to you to make even with the NPCs(non-playing characters) heck please make relationships with them, it makes for great motives. No characters are safe from death and if you are killed off you are free to choose any NPC left over.

A Few Helpful Rules

1.) No Mary-sues, they aren’t fun to play with and they become old real quick. And no one likes them so don’t make your character perfect in every little way, it’s really annoying. No one has any hidden guns, bazookas, or rocket launchers, do NOT bring them into play. No one is extremely athletic or resistant or any of that bull shit, it's stupid and get annoying real fast. These are normal people nearing their 30's, let's be realistic.

2.) Play nice with everyone, don’t get mad at the other players just because you don’t like the way they are taking the story. Just post a simple message stating you don’t like what they are doing and come to an agreement together on what to do next. You have to work together to win guys, this is a game so just have fun.

3.)Don’t post annoying messages that are just “OMG! Where is everyone? Why isn’t anyone playing, wahhhhhhhhh!” We do have lives outside of the forum and the wonderful thing about it is that even if you leave, you can come back and everything will still be there. Isn’t that awesome?

4.) No playing as the same character from a different RPG if you have played as them more that twice. Give someone else the chance. Yes, I know Susan and JB were Mike and Lucy in the last one but this still goes under the rule. Besides, we have played these games so much you can barely stop from playing the same character anymore. Just learn to be flexible, alright?

5.) Keep the Role playing in here. Taeshi doesn’t want to see it floating around the other threads. Most of us have played before and are pretty use to this, but it makes the other Forumites mad to see Augustus giving his two cents in the Religion thread.

6.) No trolling and Don’t feed the trolls. Don’t talk to them, don’t make snappy remarks, just act like they aren’t there. Seriously, you make it worse by talking to them. ILB and Jerk will delete stupid posts so don't try it, just ignore them and move on.

Playing the Game.

For the sake of making this last longer that a day, I will not be accepting accusations till the third day of actual game play. You can call out your guesses all you want, but unless this thing is completely dead in two days I won‘t accept them as real accusations. Let’s try and see how long we can keep this up.

The game does not officially start until the 2nd. Use the time in between now and then to talk to the other characters in the limo. I might start it on the 1st if I have time and everyone is up for it.

What I say is canon, all relationships with approval by the other player are canon. Relationships with NPCs are canon if believable. Clues you introduce will not be canon unless other wise stated by me, so if you think you found something that could fit into the story, throw it out there and see where it goes, it could lead you to a real clue.

The beginning of the third day is when I will start accepting hypothesizes. We can play longer if you guys want to, but nothing sooner than this. If you think you know the killer, announce it and give your reasons why and then wait for me to confirm before you go on a killing rampage. Seriously, deaths are only acceptable if I confirm it, we don’t want another gun fight like at the end of MMG 3. You can talk to the other players while waiting for me to confirm but don’t kill anyone just yet, that’s my job.

If you discover that you are the killer and you call it before anyone else, you will win the game and get away safely.

Okay, so I'm introducing a new element to the game to celebrate the 10th one, "Photos" of the crime scene. With every murder there will be a picture, you must "Investigate" to find clues and hints. You simply have your character look at what you want to investigate and then I will announce what you find. You may go back and investigate old crime scenes if you wish.

You must still investigate the bodies and everything if you want to find other clues not hidden in the picture. There is also a second new feature. The Red Light is getting a revamp. If I call RED LIGHT, all game play stops. There is not posting till I give the clear and announce GREEN LIGHT. If you are writing when I call RED LIGHT and post afterward, that's fine it will just be assumed that your post was before mine.

During these RED LIGHT moments, I will be posting not only murders, but also sometimes options. These will come at times in the plot that are most important, you will be given a two choices on screen and all playing characters will vote on the path they choose to take. It can involve everything from how to investigate evidence to actually deciding if someone lives or dies. The voting process will be completely based on who is here in a 30 minute period. After that 30 minutes is up, the game play will resume with the option that you chose.

Yes this means that everything could be decided by one vote and also in these special circumstance I have the power to over-ride a post that conflicts with the option. If there are any questions or concerns please address them now.

Okay so play nice, stay loose, be smart and see if you can discover the murder before the end of the game. So if you guys are ready, let’s get this party started!

Why was I doing this?

Luna's thoughts remained at a steady pace as the car hit another pothole and tossed the group about. She crossed her arms and scanned the faces of her grown up classmates, the people she was once friends with. Each face truly showed their advance in age and the advance in life. And then, she rested her eyes on him. She smiled slightly and felt her face blush. After all these years, she still indeed love him. Another bump tossed the car and Luna smoothed out her jacket before stealing another quick glance in his direction.

I should tell him. This is the only time I will get to see him.

But not now, not in this car. Perhaps over dinner? She didn't know just how to relay the news, but she hoped he would take it well. She still loved him after so long, and she wanted him to be in her life more than anything. However, thinking about it often put a knot in her stomach so in an attempt to break the eerie silence that hung over the group like a toxic cloud and ease her own nervousness, she turned in her seat to face Miles.

"So, Miles, how've you been? Still the lady killer?"

Axel reclined comfortably next to Suzette, his face inscrutable behind a pair of sunglasses. Personally, he saw little reason to be there himself, when he could be doing many more productive things. However, he had caved in at Suzette's request. As much as he might deny it, he was a sucker for the indie producer.

Blinking himself out of his reverie, he heard Luna's stab at conversation, and his eyebrows began to creep up of their own accord.

"That is a ridiculous expression, Luna. And if he had been killing women, I doubt he has been doing well at all." Axel interjected, his hands resting calmly on his thighs as he watched the chef. No doubt he would provoke a less-than-friendly reaction from her, but some things just have to be corrected.

Terra Jones smiled triumphantly to herself as the limo rolled up the mountain. Large hills of snow rolled past the windows and the sky was already beginning to become gray and block out the sun. If they were lucky, they would make it inside before the snow started to fall. The large car comfortably held the 20 passengers and she congratulated herself at actually being able to get so much of the class together.

She watched Luna's eyes dart around the car as she no doubt sized up the group, and Axel's jab at Luna choice in words. She suppressed a giggle as she answered Alex's remark.

"I seriously doubt that's what she meant, Axel." Terra said a she leaned back comfortably. "I don't think anyone in our old class has become a killer." She laughed shrilly.

Luna's smiled faded as she turned to face Axel. Her lips curled into a small frown and her eyelids narrowed.

"I see you're still Mr. Literal, Axel. Not surprising. Would you prefer if I rephrased it as 'Still the ladies' man'?"

Terra answered Axel for her, so Luna sat back and sighed.

"Regardless, since you seem so eager to jump into our conversation, how have you been, Axel? Are you treating Suzette well? She speaks very highly of you."

Axel shook his head, looking out of the limo window to watch the hilly landscape slide past as the limo struggled on it's way. He was already considering making a point to Terra about sending a limo up a mountain, especially one stretched to accomodate twenty people. Hardly well known for their torque power, it was no surprise when their upward pace slowed.

Returning his gaze to Luna, Axel let his eyebrows drop back to their normal positions, and replied to both ladies.

"Then I think Luna should say what she means. At any rate...Suzette and I have been well. It was, in fact, her idea to bring me along. I'm quite sure she can take care of herself." Axel muttered, glancing at Suzette as he spoke. The limo lurched forward, jolting Axel forward.

"Your choice of transportation seems to be lacking, Terra." He said, frowning as he readjusted his sunglasses.
  • #12

Terra batted Axel's complaint away with a grin, "If you're going to travel, travel in style." She said as she motioned around the seating area. "It has everything we need in it, from a mini fridge to a fully stocked bar." Terra explained excitably, "Besides why waste anytime getting to know each other again, isn't that what this week's about anyways? This is the only vehicle big enough to hold us all comfortably while we travel."

Terra smiled sweetly at the group as she weight the pros and cons of popping out some drinks right now, before ultimately deciding not to with the children around. But after they went to bed....

Mile's face was reflected off of the window as he stared at the passing mountains. It felt strange to be back with the people he hadn't seen since highschool. They had all changed so much, yet kept their qualities very similar. He looked forward to catching up with his former class later in the evening. As he continued to observe the winding road, he heard mention of his name from the very familiar voice of Miss Luna Taylor.

He turned towards her with a smile.

"Oh I'm sorry Luna, I wasn't paying attention. Did you ask me something? Or am I just hearing things?"

Luna nodded vigorously and turned her gaze towards the origin of Miles' voice. She smiled slightly at him before crossing her legs.

"Yes Miles, I asked if you were still the lady ki-- I mean, the ladies' man you were in high school. From what I hear you've managed to court several ladies. I certainly hope you'll outgrow this quality some day. You never know when one of those ladies will arrive on your doorstep with a child and claim you are the father. Such a quality is... unfitting for a parent."

Luna placed her hand over Yancey's hand and smiled even wider.

"But tell me, how is your love life? Seeing anyone? Or are you still the run-around Sue?"

Terra choked a bit at Luna's sudden odd statement and rethought pulling the alcohol early. She pulled at her scarf a moment before leaning towards the mini fridge and pulling it open.

"Any one want any thing to eat? We have some sandwiches here if anyone is hungry, it will probably be a while longer before we get to the lodge so make yourselves comfy." She said quickly, trying to keep the awkward silence out of the limo.

A bit surprised by Luna's directness, Miles blushes and turns his head away. He regains his composure and responds.

"Well the reporting business is as good as ever and it always keeps me on my feet. I still enjoy the same hobbies I did in highschool, though I don't get to participate in them as much anymore. As for my flings, you know most of the girls I've dated here in this very car, and after highschool I was too busy learning the in's and out's of reporting to pursue many women. Maybe since I've become more successful it is about time to get back on the dating scene again.

Luna chuckled at Miles' response and Terra's effort to avoid the subject. She sighed and readjusted her hand onto the broach that sat upon her neck. She rubbed the emerald stone gently.

"Yes, Terra, I'd like a turkey sandwich for Yancey. She needs something to eat to hold her over."

Luna smiled down at her daughter, who was half asleep and curled up on the car seat with her head resting in her mother's lap. She stroked the side of her face for awhile before sighing and smirking at Miles.

"Disappointing, Miles. Yes, while I do know most of your exes here, I thought a man like you may have already been married but I guess I'm trying to hard to compare you to Parker."

Luna's smile contorted into a frown as she turned her head away from the playboy's direction.

Luna's frown remains prominent as the hand that was rubbing her broach stops dead in it's tracks. Her eyes seem to pierce through Miles but it appears they glance away for a moment.

"No, Miles. Yancey is 10 years old and has only one father. I've been trying to find him for years as I love no other man than him."

Luna's hand resumes rubbing her broach as her lips curl into a smile while she continues to stare at Miles.

"But I think I've found him and I'm going to speak to him later, most likely at the lodge. It's about time he came back into our lives. Raising a child alone is difficult, especially one as rambunctious as Yancey."

She smiles and caresses her daughter's face once more, causing the little half-asleep girl to mumble quietly. She sighs and turns her head away from Miles to stare out of the limousine's window to the passing scenery.

"Aside from the parental issues, my restaurant business has been doing extremely well. In fact, we've opened our twentieth place of business in Florence, a small bistro. I was planning to move there but I couldn't bring myself to leave the States, so my eatery in Chicago is where I base myself. We've gotten four stars all around and people flock from all over to taste the foods I cook myself. The work is long and grueling and Yancey spends a lot of time with her nanny, but I try my best to be with her when I can."

A thin smile crosses Luna's lips as she turns back to Miles.

"Being a parent is certainly a wonderful thing, Miles. You should settle down sometime..."

Axel reached for a sandwich, taking one filled with ham and bit into it. He listened closely to the conversation, and raised a single eyebrow at Luna's heavy hinting.

The rest of this ride is likely to be unenjoyable, if she continues. Axel mused, then butted in to the discussion a second time.

"It would certainly be an amazing coincidence if the father happens to be here. If you'd been searching thus far, I hardly think he will appear now of all times." Axel reasoned, gesturing with his free hand at the interior of the limo. He leant back in his chair, sparing a watchful glance at Suzette before focusing on Luna. Not much had changed between the group of once-close friends, it seemed the old tensions still remained.

"Oh no, Axel, my search didn't take long because I didn't know who the father was -- I know perfectly well who it is. I slept with very few people throughout my life. The search was difficult because... he's not easy to get ahold of, and I do care for him. Having me appear before now would have been... catastrophic to his career."

Luna shot a quick glance at him before returning her gaze to Axel.

"There were very few people I was involved with in high school, and they know who they are."

Terra quietly retrieved the sandwich and soda from the fridge before handing them to Luna and Miles. She smiled nervously as she sat back down and straightened out her pants leg.

"Well Luna, it seems like you are promising to make this an exciting trip." Terra joked while uttering a small laugh. "I just hope that it doesn't ruin the mood, I have so much planned for us! There is the day we'll take for skiing and I know a fabulous place to for a wonderful snow picnic.." Terra rattled one while making sure Darcy typed away at her PDA, getting everything in the schedule.

"Oh I can't wait for us to arrive!" Terra sighed happily.

"Ah yes, Terra, that reminds me! I'd like to know if I could cook for dinner when we arrive at the lodge? I'd love to serve some of my gourmet food for you all seeing as you're close friends. Normally you'd have to pay a pretty penny to lounge in the luxurious taste of my food but you're all far more special than that. Besides, I haven't cooked casually for a long time. It'd be my pleasure."

Yancey mumbled something in her sleep and Luna lowered the hand from her broach to pat her child, and she rolled back into dreamland followed by a smile from her mother.

"She's such a doll, but be happy she's asleep now. She's quite the handful."

Terra laughed, "Of course you can make us all dinner! What kind of question is that?" She laughed again as she watched the sweet interaction between mother and daughter.

"Yes I bet she is a hand full, according to Alastair, he can barely keep me in check!" Terra laughed as she winked to Mr. Moore who was either currently sleeping or ignoring Terra completely. She smiled and turned back to Luna. "I'll be sure the make sure that the dinning hall is set up for dinner."

Abel sat straight up in the seat of the limo. He had remained quiet most of the trip, the thoughts of the next election were clouding his mind. He sat in the same position for a few minutes until finally reclining back a bit.

I have all the time in the world to think about campaigning after this trip, now is time for me to just relax he thought to himself with a smile.

"So, were all doing quite well I see?" Abel said as he looked around, he stopped at Darcy. Abel's smile slowly turned into a look of concern.

"Uhhh...So Axel." Abel turned his head back towards Axel, trying to dodge certain question's. "Can we get any word on your next film?"

Alastair stirred in his sleep, feeling and uncomfortable feeling. He cracked one of his eyes open to see what caused it and low and behold it was Terra winking at him.
[i should have known.]
He the noticed that she had the mini-fridge open.
[Oh gods, please tell me she's not going for the booze this early!]
He was relieved when he saw her pull a sandwich out of it. He desided he was going to need more sleep to haddle things so he closed his eye and tryed to go back to sleep.

The first Murder will probibly be posted on the Morning of the 2nd though, just saying. Expect for the limo to arrive shortly, nothing important will happen before the second though.))

Terra looked outside and smiled, they had just passed the sign to the Lodge. She turned around and slide the window separating the limo from the driver and asked, "How much longer until we arrive?"

"Just a little bit more to go ma'am." the driver replied, "Perhaps only 30 minutes or so." Terra grinned and thanked the man before closing the window and turning back to the group.

"Well guys we're almost there! Oh you're going to love it there, this lodge has been in my family for years. We converted it from a private mansion when I was a child and we spent every Christmas here since. Oh I have such fond memories of it..." Terra sighed as she thought back to her days as a child.

Axel looked at Abel for a few seconds then, nodded and averted his gaze.

"It is a film." He said shortly, speaking quietly under Terra as she queried the driver. It was a relief to the terrier, hearing of the time until they arrived. He was looking forward to getting out of the limo, wedged as he was between Suzette and the door. He looked almost like a squashed plush-toy, his stature still dwarfed by his old acquaintances, even after all these years.

"Obviously, I cannot disclose too much, or Suzette might throw a tantrum. She wants this project to be one of her best. Although, she has said that ever since we began working together." Axel explained, looking out of the window just inches from his nose, watching the snow-blanketed scenery as they moved closer to their destination. Axel rubbed his hands together, feeling a short jolt of unease in his stomach. He detested skiing. He failed to see the enjoyment in strapping two planks of fibreglass to your feet and launching yourself down a sharp slope. He hoped that skiing wouldn't feature too much in Terra's plans.

"I see. I figured as much, but it was worth a shot at least." Abel said in reply to Axel's answer.

Abel noticed the sign as they drove passed it. THE JONES MANOR LODGE. It was covered in snow and hardly visible. He turned to try and see the lodge, but the gray sky along with the blinding snow hid it from his vision. He sat back again trying to relax.

"So...big senate race coming up. I'm just curious about who you guys might be voting for?" he asked aloud, trying to start another conversation. Although he tried his best to avoid politics the whole ride over, it still proved too tempting for him to bring up.

"I'm not one for politics, so I have no plans on voting."

Luna chuckled lightly and grinned. This was just like Abel, unable to keep the discussion away for politics for a few moments. Once Zander had butted in and diverted the attention away from Abel's question, Luna waved her hand to silence Zander.

"Well Abel, you do run a strong campaign. Compared to Dickinson you're far better. I can assure you that you have my vote."

She ran her eyes over Abel. It had been a long time since she had seen him, and even under his expensive Italian tailored suit, he was still the same and just as innocent and cute as he was during their high school years. Luna found herself smiling inadvertently.

"I've forgotten to ask you, how silly of me! How've you been, Abel? I've seen your campaigning ads on the telly, they're quite good. I hear you've got a good amount of voters behind you. Do tell! It's rare I get to meet a politician of your caliber up close, no less be acquainted with one."

((I mean, I understand you introducing your wife and this one plays a little bit different with everyone already knowing each other but it's no big deal, seriously don't worry about it.))

Terra folder her arms in front of her chest as small talk enveloped the group. After everyone chatted comfortably for a while, the driver knocked on the window again before opening it and stating: "We have arrived at The Jones Manor Lodge." Everyone crowed around the windows to get a look as they pulled through the large gates and up the drive.

The three story structure loomed in front of them, standing ten feet off the ground on stilts. A large deck wrapped around the front and to the back of the lodge as Terra explained. "The resort was much smaller when we bought it, but my father renovated it to suit and house many more people. There is a ski lift behind it to take us up the mountain and a beautiful view of the valley too."

The limo pulled to a stop and the driver got out and opened the door for the crowd. "This way ladies and Gentlemen, watch your step it is a little bit slippery out here, especially on the steps." He walked around the trunk and began emptying it of the luggage as everyone stepped out.Snow started to fall gently as they got out, the gray sky was darkening as night fall approached and many people gripped their coats close to themselves. After he was done, he handed Terra a set of keys and tipped his hat.

"Have a good trip Miss Jones, these are the keys to the lodge." he stated formally, "I'll be heading off now before the snow starts sticking. I'll be back at the end of the week to pick you all up ma'am." And with that he jumped back in the limo and drove away, leaving the group with the resort to themselves.

Axel hefted his suitcase out of the snow, shaking the worst of the white powder from it as he stepped towards the lodge. He looked up at the structure supported by stilts, and frowned. It certainly didn't look like the sturdiest place to stay, though he imagined it would be safe enough, having been here for many years. He turned to watch the limo go, tucking his chin into his coat as the vehicle began the long descent. Looking back at the huddle of bodies standing outside the lodge, Axel rolled his eyes. He marched over and picked up Suzette's holdall without complaint as she offered it toward him, and then began walking to the doors.

"You are all very welcome to freeze outside, though I imagine it is warmer in the lodge." He called back monotonously, listening to his footsteps crunch through the snow as he went.

Terra Thanked Zander as she grabbed her own bags and followed Axel. "Oh calm down we're enjoying the snow." She teased as she walked up the steps and unlocked the door.

"On the first floor we have the lounge area," Terra explained as they stepped in. "The kitchen is in the left corner Luna, and the main dinning hall is upstairs. You can use the Dumb Waiter, (D.W) to send food us since I assume you want to have everyone eat together. Also Zander, maybe you and Karinya could sing us all a song after words. There is a hot tub outside that anyone can use at any time."

"On the second floor we have the dinning hall of course and a few rooms. Axel, Suzette, and Amabell's rooms are there along with 2 restrooms. The rooms do not have private bathrooms, but there are 5 in the lodge so I don't think we will have too much of a problem."

"And on the top floor we have the remaining rooms and bathrooms. Everyone's rooms have been assigned but if you suddenly decide that you want to room with anyone else..." Terra let the though be complete by everyone as she chuckled softly.

"Well, there is quite a lot to talk about this election. Perhaps we could discuss it at dinner?" Abel said in reply to Luna as he followed the others into the lodge.

"However I can assure I have been working non stop on this campaign." Abel smiled

He continued following Terra and the others throughout the lodge. It was all very similar to the hotels he stayed in when attending a debate or rally out of town. But the warm feel of the lodge that refreshed him from the icy cold weather outside is what made it different.

As Terra introduced the rooms on the top floor he stopped, just as he was about to intervene Terra asked the question.

"...Well actually, I'd feel more comfortable if I could share a room with Mimi." Abel answered Terra with a concerned expression.

Karinya follows right behind Zander, exclaiming: "Oh, it'll be just like old times, darling... And new times," she adds with a light chuckle.

Terra raised an eyebrow but said nothing, only nodding in reply. "Well alright, I think there might be a cot or something we could find and set up in one of your rooms. But first let's just settle in, we'll get it later." Terra smiled and giggled at Karinya's remark before turning to Luna.

"Maybe you would like to get started on dinner Ms. Taylor? I could probably give ya a hand if ya need it."

Luna nodded vigorously and turned to face her daughter before kneeling down and giving the young girl a tight embrace.

"Yancey, Mommy is going to go cook dinner. I want you to stay by Miles until I come and get you, okay?"

The little girl said a quiet yes and Luna ruffled her hair. She rose from her kneeling position and stretched before shortly readdressing Terra.

"Yes, a hand would be appreciated. Would you please show me to your kitchen? Based on the food you have on hand, I'll have to decide what I am capable of."

"Oh we have a fully stocked kitchen." Terra said as they headed back downstairs. "Nothing is off limits, everyone enjoy yourselves!" She called to everyone else as she and Luna headed to the kitchen.

"I made sure that plenty of food was brought up yesterday so it would all be ready for us when we got here."

Axel headed for the east set of stairs, stopping with one foot on the bottom step. Suzette was already hurrying away up the staircase, leaving Axel to carry the luggage. If he was annoyed, he didn't show it as he gestured upwards with his head, calling across the room to the others.

"We shall go settle in to the rooms, and be back down shortly." He began following Suzette up the stairs, spotting her waiting for him at the top. He nodded away her quick thank-you and followed her into the producer's bedroom, laying her holdall gently onto the bed. The covers were plain, which added a sort of bleakness to the room. Axel ducked under Suzette's hand as she reached out to ruffle his hair playfully, and made his way into his own room, dropping his suitcase with a muffled thud onto the floor.

He knelt next to the suitcase, unzipping it and unpacking the clothes and other necessities he would need for the week. Most of his clothes were the same pair of slacks and long black coats duplicated a handful of times, though he had brought a thick skiing jacket and trousers, just in case. As he hung the luridly-coloured ski jacket in the wardrobe, Axel shuddered. The window to his room hadn't been closed properly, and a slight gust of frigid air had chilled the room.

How delightful. He thought drily, shutting the window and leaving the room. The hole in the floor, ringed by a banister, allowed Axel to look down onto the ground floor, watching the other guests bustling about. Eventually, Suzette joined him and they made their way downstairs again.
