Bittersweet Candy Bowl Forums

So before you read the latest Page which is the nicest of page of all of them. I've had people tell me that it is confusing to read. So to read it you read from left to right for six panels. Then follow the arrow. Then go Back to the left side of the page to read the rest of the comic. I've tried to fix this digitally and i have failed. so I hope you enjoy this page and if you like what you see you can see all the pages that lead up to Pg. 14 of Tim.

If you havn't noticed, this is the BCB forums, not the fucking Sonic Yiff Club. Why would anyone apart from Taeshi have any interest in this?

Dammit, I'm no good at arguing.

I just think it would be more constructive to criticise the work itself from an artistic standpoint rather than a biased "it's lame because it follows x style" standpoint. Since everyone starts out somewhere. Even if that starting point is painful to look at

I like the artwork, and I don't think I ever said that I didn't. This is just self-advertisment, and if this was a general arts forum, then it would be fine, but I thought that this was BCB-related stuff only. If it is a general arts forum, then why not say it? Or maybe he just assumed that because this comic leans in a vaguely furry direction (whether you like it or not, people will see at this way), it was right for him to introduce this comic to us. At the least, he could have made a topic for it in Recess. Maybe it isn't my place to judge, but that's my view.

I figured since Taeshi didn't like fan characters and i had a guy that liked the Comic here, I thought it would be okay. besides Taeshi even has a list of recommended Furry Comics on her site so... yeah lol i could modify my character to look like Paulo.

Tim Comic is a Sonic style Original Comic unlike the Many Mobius Based Sonic comics out there. plus my style like to keep realistic proportions (excluding the head) and the entire plot is completely original.

No I don't need more freaken fancharacters, thank you very much.

The art forums is for any sort of art, otherwise we would be all "Only BCB art goes here", but that's for CANDYBOORU. Why would we have ANOTHER BCB-art exclusive section?

Time for my add.
Head and expressions need a lot of work.
sometimes the head is too big for their small faces.

Also, you don't need to cram as much as you can into single pages.

huh? am i not expressing enough emotion? and their faces are about as wide as their head. unless you mean how tall their head is. and which comic page are you talking about the new improved one or the crappy pages? because if your talking about the crappy pages i already know. if your talking about the new page then i think you have style issues (Please be more specific.)

how ever i did screw up the 7/8 view on Brian... It screams Fail. I have decided to go back and redo each page of Tim.

If i work on the first page all day tomorrow, then i can have the 1st improved Page of Tim updated by tomorrow afternoon/evening

My biggest issue is that I can't really read any of the text in the 2nd page you posted. It's really scribbly and hard to make out so I ended up not really paying attention to what was going on :\

Panel layout could be more reader friendly too, but judging from your comments, I guess you're aware of that? Anyway, keep on trucking. I'm always glad to see some original stuff on here.

EDIT: Ok. I managed to trudge through it. Try not to think of each individual scene as a 'chapter'. Save that for the end of each self contained story ark. (For example, Chapter 1 is Tim trying to find a partner for the dance. Chapter 2 is the Dance itself. Chapter 3 is the aftermath of whatever events happened at the dance etc etc)

oh yeah I'm fixing that on the new page as well i'm trying not to speed through the comic by cutting out important transitional Parts so It's gonna be slightly longer. i'm also waiting to decide Chapter titles as well. so For now i will leave out chapters

heres a sneak peak of the new Tim comic Pg.1 since i won't be able to finish it tonight. it looks amazing with color. don't expect me to be using color all the time though. just trying it out.

updates will be rather sporadic, you can expect updates on spring break since not only do i make comics i play music too and tons of it. i'll be pretty busy before and after spring break and depending on whether i feel greedy enough i might end up with a job. then i can get my own computer then i can buy a better tablet and then i can have more time to work on my comics with my own computer. because daddy is angry with me and he only lets me use the computer for one hour at a time. and my mother lets me use the computer whenever i want.

I couldn't wait to post it... it's not finished but i lost the pen to my tablet and i am distraught. my tablet is my meat and potatoes, my bread and butter... my life. without it i can't crank out comic book pages as fast as Taeshi. then again i never could. if only i didn't have to worry about fricken highschool.

was it really that funny?

Well first the comic is drawn by hand. then it is scanned into the computer. then i use a program called GIMP to edit it with. i erase any mistrokes,smudges, and unnecessary lines. then i color the pics in, which is a painfully slow process of coloring in the lines with my tablet or using the paint bucket which doesn't make things much easier. once its colored in, i render it which means i add shading and shadows and stuff like that.
