i was kinda practicing with these cool brushes i downloaded while playing around with making my own and this happened. i like it because it kinda looks like some of my traditional stuff and that makes me kinda happy.
Gnukko, your orc barmaid will be finished sometime this week. i put flats on it today.

Anyway that stuff should remain the original size to look nice (rescaling a 32x32 icon to 640x640 is as pointless as doing the opposite to a regular picture).

We went through such an argument on whether the ice climbers were related or not, but the picture could be literally any kind of love. Fraternal, platonic, demure romantic, or even love as a partner...I mean, sorry to bring this up so late but it's a good picture, but it has a kind of Ma and Pa look that doesn't really beg the question of what KIND of love there may or may not be while implying that they certainly do depend on each other. I think that ambiguous interpretation is what makes it seem more like genuine Tarot.

I was trying to think of who would best represent The Lovers in a BCB tarot deck. The obvious selection might be Mike and Lucy, who have each had feelings for the other, but who have pushed the other away at different times due to the choices each made. And that particular tarot card is definitely associated with making choices.
The flip side of the same coin would be Blur and Yashy. Taeshi has said they're basically like Mike and Lucy without the dependency issues. The two often squabble over inconsequential things, but they have a strong friendship, and I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up being platonic soulmates.

Very cute! Try to be mindful about the Pokemon eyes, though, they tend to look kind of lopsided :-[[[ Like the right eye of the bulbasaur seems to be looking at us whereas the left is looking to the right.

and i'll definitely be more mindful with the eyes on my Venusaur drawing! i really need to find the time to just do them tho...

photoshop collage assignment that i somehow got an A on even though i think it looks like shit
WIP for the Maya modeling project we're doing. i'ma gonna add in a Pikachu
old doodle from December that i never get tired of for some reason
er, i've got a lot of sketchbook stuff i can scan in. started a sketchbook share blog with a few friends, we just gotta start posting stuff on it. like, the idea is just to have a dumping ground for our sketches that we do so people can 1)see our thought processes 2)see how we approach sketching and 3)just to have a place where we can bounce ideas off of each other
