Is there any chance I could get un-banned from the chatroom? It was really fun there and I'm really sorry I spammed, I was just a little on edge that day because of something personal...

I'm with Lycan on this one. Besides, how's that a point against Lycan being a good mod? The real mods forgave the op as well!

I would think the latter is the case, Lycan. Although I am not entirely sure - perhaps there is an option for automatically banning people with this and that word in their names.

Its possible that there's an addon that links to a site that has the emails/typical usernames/IPs of spambots and if you match enough of the information you're auto-banned.

Ah, but if your IP is banned your only way of getting back on the site is by using proxies. And I doubt a small forum such as this one has a way of automatically banning proxies.

The guy that made the thread was banned in the IRC. That doesn't carry over to the site itself.

That addon was free last I checked and it may include proxies. I dunno, I never really messed with it.
