This is the discussion thread for the "Pillow Talk" storyline, for however long it lasts (10 weeks, whoa).

Paulo is at heart a generous soul who sticks by his friends. This is clearly shown with his campaigning for Daisy in the last storyline, and again on this page with cheering up Lucy with a nice little surprise and a kind note. However, at the same time Paulo seems to be going rather overboard with his support for the ladies. I really do expect him to be defending Tess a couple of storylines down the road, which will cause Jasmine to demand what the heck is up with him being the pillar of support for all these girls. On the other hand, David will probably be thrilled to find out that Paulo is apparently playing the field.

Oh, and thanks to Taeshi for giving us a sneak preview of page 2.

That page does bring up a couple more talking points, but I'll have to defer that discussion until Friday.

If you think this storyline is about Paulo canoodling with the ladies, you'd probably be wrong (unless...

)

The next page will give you a better idea of what this storyline is about, in relation to its title (though I believe Taeshi mentioned it in an earlier post).

And yes, for those who have seen page 2, please, no spoilers.

If it's any consolation, this storyline is much more about Lucy than Paulo.

But yeah, we haven't really seen Mike in any depth lately.

Okay...... why is the comic being Paulo x Lucy now? I mean,we have all noticed most of Lucy's blushes nowdays in the recent comics are from glancing at Paulo. IS this becoming a theme now? Is this comic going to blow up even ore drama? And pillow talk? Maybe Jasmine get curious?

I hate this topic other than the chance to use my spoiler alert speculation is for the weak, we want answers! answers which will be perfectly provided by Mt. Vern if we wait silently in the bushes of the internet, hunting the truth behind why a gathering or group of crows is called a murder. but yeah, the comic will come out sometime and we will still be hopefully alive at that time.

Geez, guys, settle down. I just meant this storyline would be focused on Lucy, not Paulo. Although Lucy does kinda care for Paulo, and that may become a topic for discussion later on (and not only in this thread).

No. We're avoiding discussing page 2 of Pillow Talk until it officially comes out. Some of us got a preview of it last night when Taeshi accidentally uploaded the wrong page.

Really, Jerk, I wouldn't count out Paulo×anybody just yet. The comic has a long way to go yet, and I do foresee Paulo discussing things with Tess down the road.

The problem with Paulo is that he's so big-hearted, he'll give his active support to all the girls he cares for, regardless of what the situation looks like to anyone else. First we saw Paulo helping Jasmine, then Daisy, and now he's cheering up Lucy. I wouldn't be surprised if we next saw Paulo defending Tess against some vengeful older students.

Agreed - Paulo may be "bold and brazen", but he's never really done anything bad to anyone. On the contrary, he's always helping others just like you say!

It's very nice of Paulo to do that indeed, but the elephant in the room is Jasmine. Exactly how much does she mind Paulo spending his time helping other girls? For a girl who's in a relationship, it's always jarring to see your boy voluntarily helping other girls that much. Plus you saw what Paulo wrote in the note to Lucy: "Please don't tell Jazz."

Yeah, Jasmine simply made fun of Paulo's devotion last time, and that's actually pretty mature of her. But how long can she continue to laugh it off without feeling hurt that Paulo isn't focusing his attentions on on her? At some point, something's gotta give, and the blowup should be spectacular. It might even happen in the current storyline, depending on what happens during the.... well, we'll be able to discuss that tomorrow.

Finall page 2 is up and I can say what I've wanted to say in regards to their ages for a loooooooooooooooong while now(cause we've seen them as 14 for about 2 years now I believe rather than the standard 1 year)...

I suddenly like where this story is going again. Maybe we'll get another one of those neat "I has to save one o' you" situations like we got with Paulo in the vacation arc with Tess/Daisy (THOUGH I STILL THINK HE CHOSE POORLY).

That aside, I can't wait to see who actually shows up to this. I'm guessing Daisy and Sue, and maybe Amaya. Hell if I know. We'll probably have a few more pages of Lucy resisting before she caves but it's definitely going to be interesting one way or another.

Plus, how do you have a pajama party when you run around nekkid most of the time?

Alright, time for discussion! Yes, it is indeed Lucy's birthday, which means November 7 has now rolled around, comic-time. Leave it to Paulo to forego eating his Halloween candy just so he could give it to Lucy as a birthday treat. (Well, it's not like Paulo has much money anyway, perhaps he had the foresight to save the candy in lieu of buying an actual gift.)

And yes, sleepover! Daisy's organizing it, I guess this is her surprise for Lucy. Of course, Lucy doesn't much like surprises, especially when they involve her as an involuntary participant. (I can hardly blame her for feeling that way, I don't like surprises either.)

So, what are the details of this sleepover? Is it at Daisy's house, or Lucy's? Who's been invited? Will the cake be a lie? I guess that's what we'll find out. I'd say Sue, Tess and Jasmine will attend, plus Daisy of course. Lucy will probably have to be persuaded to take part. Might be more interesting if the sleepover is at Lucy's house, if Daisy arranged it with Lucy's parents. In that case, Lucy won't be able to get out of it so easily, and her pets will be there as well.

And what do you think happens at a girls' sleepover? Pillow talk, of course. Might they play Truth or Dare again, as always seems to happen at these gatherings? What secrets will be revealed? What drama will result? Will it degenerate into a big ol' pillow fight? Will Jordan flee the premises? Will David crash the party, and end up getting trussed like a Christmas turkey? So many questions, and we have to wait for the answers.

I'd guess that during the inevitable "boy talk," Daisey is bound to say something about Abbey's devotion to her during the election (like on page 16 of the previous chapter) at which point Jasmine (if she is present) will correct her and drama will ensue involving every girl present with the exception of Sue (and Amaya, if she is there). Seriously, Paulo throws his affections out in far to many directions for his own good.

Also, considering her friendship with Daisy and her involvement in the play, is it a stretch to imagine that Jessica could be there? Now that would make things interesting.

Yes, Daisy happily purring about Abbey's campaigning would be just the way to incite drama and cause a blow-up amongst the girls (and Paulo, eventually).

I doubt Daisy would invite Jessica. She knows that Jessica and Tess don't get along. And after the events of "Back and Forth", Lucy doesn't exactly care for Jessica either.

It's too bad, but you're probably right about Jess not being there. That fight you linked to reminded me of something, though. Yeah, it was really convenient that Jasmine was able to defuse that situation so easily, but it really does not seem like the tensions that were brought to the fore there have even begun to be resolved. Yet, since then, the characters have been able to act mostly normally around one another. I'm tempted to say that doesn't seem realistic, but I think I've just been out of high school for too long. I'm really interested, though! Paulo's 'conquests' in that chapter were a pretty big deal. Do none of the characters care about that anymore? Perhaps that's something that could come out this chapter.
