Sounds great, it actually sounds like works getting done which is surprising, since normally things like this fall out. Good luck with everything your doing!

In other news, hit a bit of a brick wall... for some reason dependents aren't working. This might be due to me ballsing up a piece of code in the engine manager, but we'll see. If necessary, I'll have to cut out one of the features I added to make it work - but at least it's just an aesthetic feature (which is the only one that could be causing this).
It's nothing TOO major - if I can't fix it, it just means I'll need perhaps a lot longer.

Like the hyphen incident.
In other news, have a sample screen shot - with actual art!

DEAL WITH IT.
Just kidding. The Sue there is placeholder art, just so I have something to work with.

As a heads up, people in the IRC have been curious as to the soundtrack I'm using. Therefore, tomorrow, I'll put up the menu theme for you all to enjoy.

EDIT:
Oops, didn't see your comment Commie. Take as long as you need - if you'd rather send them all in in one big batch rather than a character at a time, that's perfectly fine.

And Commie, even if he voiced every other character save the narrator, he would only be able to equal you in characters.
Double your work, and you voice the entire game.

Obviously, this is the man to give this game that certain je ne sais quoi it needs. I mean, don't get me started on his ideas for a barbed pole like weapon…

I actually had the idea of a visual novel style game based on this series sometime about half way through it...of course half way through it, I also compared it to School Days...
Don't feel too ashamed about sounding too amatuerish or unprofessional; we all start somewhere. The best kinds of projects are those with nothing to hide, with a team of people that aren't ashamed to admit they have faults. Because those kinds of projects usually listens to it's peers and improves from the (usually and hopefully) constructive criticism it gets from being so earnest.
...maybe I'm reading too much into this thread, as I only just recently started lurking IRC. But those are my two cents regardless. Though as a fellow programmer I definitely want to make this clear; start simple. No need to think big right away. Focus only on smaller, short term goals before you start getting ahead of yourself. Not saying that's happening now, but from experience, it's very hard to keep it from happening without prior experience with having dealt with that before. The longer and better your product becomes, the bigger you can start planning and the more you can do with it.
Yeah, just wanna say good luck on this and I eagerly await it's release. I'd be glad to lend a hand too, but I haven't been around long enough to start asking about that yet. Most importantly though, I hope you guys have fun making this! That's the best part of creating something. :P

Small progress update: Not much in the way of coding lately, since I've been writing two campaigns. Got the first week on both done, I'll see if I can add them in a basic form to the alpha. Needless to say, things are going well.
