He just lives in Brazil. He's actually Swedish, but moved from there at age 9, according to him.
I say he's Brazilian, since he spent most of his life in Brazil. :/

These are some pretty good sketches. One thing I would recommend though is drawing lot's of circles and basic shapes in your spare time, attempting to get them as accurate as possible. It should help with proportions and keeping lines more refined.

Fine then, what about a two-panel thing?
In the first panel you draw Bush shrugging while saying "Sue me", or something, and in the second you add Sue throwing a shoe on his face, saying "Sue'd". Lame joke, but seems enough of a practicing for me.

Also, draw some very close friends of Kou celebrating his (your) birthday. I would suggest to add Maxwell serving the cake, but the whole "Phancharacter Menace" thing frightened me a lot. :unsure:

You know I'm only noticing this now but what makes your drawings stand out from Taeshi's is that you draw whiskers ಠ_ಠ. That or I hardly notice the whiskers of the BCB comic chars.

If you pay good atention, you'll notice the whiskers, but sometimes they don't appear.

Lately I'm having some unfortunate art block, so I'm trying to get some inspiration to get some drawing ideas too.
