Cause way I see it, many of us are new cause of the new forums and thus don't actualy have any conncection to any one on the forum, let alone some sort of inside joke that they can apply with themselves, let alone be recognized with anything!

I provide a perfect example of such, being that while I've read for a long time, I only started communicating with others when the new forum started up, even then only posting a few times and never having visited once the IRC(never ever been on that thing, ever, still have yet to even see the page, anything).

That's right. I'mma pessimist, pessimissing this thread with my pessimism. Pess. :-*

Yes, we gathered here because of Taeshi-san's comic.

But Sonic forums are because of Sonic.
Twilight forums are because of Twilight.
Harry Potter forums are because of Harry Potter.

The members of those forums probably don't have connections with each other, except for what we, in this forum share.

Suitcase said it all. It seems mediocrity is all most of us can aspire to. At the base of it, we are all only here because Taeshi and Suitcase grudgingly made these forums and I'm sure they would be better off without us. I love you all anyway.

I'd guess that this community—like any web comic forum, probably—is for its administrators like owning a naughty pet. Occasionally it appears to show signs of intelligence, is cute, and seems to reward the effort which must be put into it, but usually it just ignores commands it is given, is obnoxiously loud, and craps all over everything.

So basically Sammy... you are saying that the forum is a fascade in that it intends to welcome fans to discuss and converse about whatever, when it in fact is a place to fall under ridicule and criticism since most fall under the 95% shit-post group. all the while, the other potential 5% that could have something meaningful to say falls under a self-fulfilled prophecy which either makes the poster reluctant or apathetic about making a thread. Is that what you mean?

I don't think it's bad that this place exists and people keep joining in. I hope they always do, and that it stays welcoming. Its just that to me, it's a mostly boring community.
