BCBcon International 2011: Boston, 7–10 July?

Boston hmmm...I've always wanted to go to Boston, granted it's a little 2,000+ miles east of me...

Finalizes this date and location however and I'll find a way to come.

I'm planning on going, I just need to figure out how I'm going to get there. Driving there does not sound very exciting though, unless I was to carpool. But my only viable option (I think) would be to ride with Kaxbe, and I don't know how he's getting there.

Airfare for me would be around $300, so we'll see where shit goes.

Also I will sleep on a hotel room floor to cut costs, I do not give a shit.

Boston was admittedly one of the better cities for me, so perhaps i can borrow a car and drive down. It all really depends on parents though, gonna have to talk with them about it tomorrow. Hell it's shorter than the trip we make at least twice a year to my Grandmother's house.

Which ninja is being referred to in the list :I I'm moving back to Michigan next month, so depending on how quick I find work or whatever, I could be more likely to make it than I am right now. If I'm able to go, I could probably save myself, TCN, and Ved expenses and carpool down to boston, since it's only like an 8-10 hour drive.

I could try to convince my mom to let me go, but I'm not sure how much it would cost to get from Kentucky to Boston, Where im going to get the money, how im going to get there, and actually convincing my mother to let me go. We will have to see how things go here. Put me on the possible probable.

I plan on going, though I still have yet to discuss it fully with my parents. Compared to my brother I'm the angel child, so I'm hoping they'll trust me to go alone. Also if you know me and my sleeping habits, you'll know I'm totally up for sleeping on the floor.

I got permission from my pops, though he still has to discuss it with the missus. My dad is cool B-)
I told him at first that I would be meeting up in Boston with a bunch of 40 year olds and professional photographers.

Okay I think I am probable now. The only reason I am not certain is that I haven't turned in my vacation request form. They are due Feburary 1st.

Speaking of my Vacation time at work. It has to be a complete work week which means my vacation must start on Sunday and end on the following Saturday. Therefore I would like to know what people thought of it starting on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday? Since that would be most convenient for me...er...well my employer anyway. If not I'm sure I could work something out with Safeway.

Not that anybody cares, but The Red Sox host The Orioles at Boston for a three game series July 8th-10th. Even if you don't like baseball, I heard it's quite an experience to visit Fenway Park. Its got alot of rich history.

Basically, it comes down to taking 1 week off work/school, as opposed to maybe thursday friday and monday off. I prefer having the weekend plan, in case I don't have the ability to take that entire week off.

You can buy up to the date of the game.

Expenses depend on the seat location and the team coming into town. Since it's baltimore, they suck and therefore the seats will be easier and cheaper to get.

Can't beat $12 bleacher seats....unless you're an Indian's or Pirate's fan.

You could probably get away with just buying tickets at the stadium, but if desired, can go through stubhub to get them assured and in advanced. They charge 15% fee for the service though.
