Akacatgirl's Art Thread

Pretend you're just friends or something. Live on the edge 8-)
  • #51

I don't know if the rebel thing will work Bell, but we both play the trumpet, so if I told my parents we are "practicing" that would work....
  • #52

Hum... Tell me, do you take requests? If so, I'd like to ask for a puppy German Shepherd Dog 8-D
I'm wondering how would it end up... :smirk:
  • #53

I guess that would work aka. I'm not sure how your parents are so I can't really give good advice sorry.
  • #54

AWWWWW young love :-*
  • #55

Actually, I'm in eight grade, and a guy, and a girl had a crush on me. She was very blunt, and basically got to know me, and told me that she had a crush on me in the period of about two weeks.

This seems as though we are on opposite sides of the same metaphorical see-saw, however I do not recommend telling him bluntly in the period of two weeks (over the course of a few weeks to months after you get to know him is fine).

If he knows you as a friend, see if he wants a relationship. If not, it's probably not the best idea.
If he barely knows you; only by name, ease into it and don't rush it.

The only reason I'm telling you this is because this is now apparently a discussion thread.

Oh and your art is fine too....
  • #56

Thanks for your help DritchJaul! :D

And Visionary, Ill see what I can do. I would like to say I DO take requests. And just ahead of time, I apoligize if it comes out badly; I haven't drawn a dog in a while.

For a 12 year old I could say you have 5/10 talent in drawing. Just giving my opinion on your sketches. But seeing as your still young I would say that there is lots to improve on and that the day is still young :D
  • #58

you are 12?
really 8-D
wow had no idea :D

maybe you should try talking to him if you don't know him too well :D
  • #59

My friend is really into art, so ive been sending some of my pictures to her so she can tell me what to work on. Its been very helpful.

Here you go Visionary:

This is my first attempt at drawing a German Shepherd puppy. I may end drawing another one, but hopefully this will please you(Visionary) long enough to give me time to draw a better one. Thanks. :D
PS I wasn't sure if you wanted it realistic or cartooney, so I just drew it cartooney because I draw better that way.

I'm amused :smirk:
And yes, I expected it to don't be realistic at all. Either way practice brings perfection, so who knows? Maybe it'll not take long for your capacity for drawing dogs to improve.
  • #62

I've been practicing my cats for a while( as you can see i'm a cat lover) so I haven't drawn a dog, what, a year? Wow, I need work on that.
  • #63

I like your drawings, they are quite cute ^^ The german shepard is especially cute!
  • #64

Your latest post was really good. Your other work is half decent as well, As said though, you do need to work on hands.

Sunsets are hard to draw... >.<
  • #75

I think you did a nice job on the sunset. IRL, it does slowly turn through red and purple to blue eventually. But that's just me being a critique. I enjoy the layering of the grass, and that it slowly fades darker towards the horizon.

If landscapes ever give you trouble, it's not cheating to use reference pics.

Thanks for the help! Hopefully, my sunsets will get better. :)
  • #77

oh my sweet hamburgers!that is so friggin adorable <3

You have talent for your age
  • #78

Hahaha, that's simply adorable :D
I believe the legs are a little too skinny, the jaw a bit small and the lining not as solid as I'd recommend, but your art is fine overall.

lovley 8-D
the angle or the eyes are perfect :D
(try adding elbows and heel on the doggies front legs :D heel always off the ground!)
  • #80

I love the grass, it looks grassy. I can never draw grass, it ends up looking prickly.
Not forgetting the doggies, the are cute! :)

  • #82

Oh, Sushi. When will it end? :smirk:

So I was doodling and I made a messy comic. Unfortunly, my Wacom tablet was acting up, so the comic came out poorly. I still think it's kinda cute, though. :) Posted Image

And then, I got the idea to try and redraw the last panel and color it in. By that time my Wacom Tablet was actually working, so it came out pretty well. Enjoy. ;)

PS I bet you can guess who the guy is. :smirk:

This picture I drew is of me and my crush (whatever you're about to say, shut up) and well, I think it came out well. Tell me what you guys think.

you look cute in that pic, (course everyone looks better when they draw themselves)
  • #84

if only i could come up with an idea to draw when i want to draw. in other news, wonderful, 12 year old art. (altho... when i was like 11 i made a epic self portrait for an art class, my teacher said so.)
  • #85

Oh my... I just made a self potrait in art class and I was going to post it on here! Thanks for reminding me! :D
  • #86

Here's another one.

Posted Image

I was doing some experimenting, and I thought maybe I would I try doing it in black and white. Enjoy.
  • #87

You're good at B&W. Might I suggest you do the same, but sepia-tone it and use the style as one would a flashback. That would be the most useful application of it. Or try coloring a small portion of a larger B&W image to emphasize the focus of the picture.

I'm not trying to say you're doing anything wrong, in fact I'm merely pointing you in an interesting direction to take this style/concept.
  • #88

That would be an AWESOME thing to do! I will try that next time... :D
  • #89

So, I've started doing a comic based off of my life. Well, except I changed some things in the comic, like my name and and the events int he story. Note: THIS IS NOT A FANCOMIC. IT IS MY OWN COMIC.
Here you go: Posted Image

So that's the whole first chapter of the comic. Enjoy.

Oh I just noticed that Raxki used a "hot o meter" in one of his fancomics. I would like to apologize if you feel I have taken you idea. Sorry.
  • #91

Ehehe, the comic is cute~
I love it :D
  • #92

Im so glad you like it! It's a good thing too because there's more to come! Well, once I come up with what's going to happen in the next chapter.

Actually i got the idea from Twokinds...
  • #94

D'awww~ It's sooooo cute~!

If you want criticism, their necks. Period. That's the one nagging thing about it. Sure there's other things to improve on, but necks is the most stand out bad thing. Other then that, I love it, and wish for you to continue this comic series!

Ahempaedophilia.

You know, you really are amazing for your age. I'd keep up what you're doing, and soon enough you'll be a really good artist. Just always try and stay focused, because some of those panels are fantastic, but there a few where it looks like you rushed over them a bit. The panels, as well, are a bit scribbled and you would do well to make them bigger; it would do your characters, who are totally squee, a lot more justice.

i suck, i know.
  • #99

Well ANYWAYS, I'm going to be posting chapter by chapter. Sadly, my parents spazzed out about me using the computer for 2hrs to make my comics, so I can only use it 30min at a time. So, it'll probably be a while before my next chapter comes out. Sorry guys.
