So, in 2007 a coule of brothers decided not to communicate with each other textually in ay way for one year. Instead they would take turns posting vlogs on toutube, one per weekday, barring certain holidays, for that year. They called the project "Brotherhood 2.0"
By the end of thge year they realised that they has a huge following, so they decided to do something good, and help decrease worldsuck levels. So they had a whole bunch of people post videos on the same day, all with the same screen cap, all promoting a charity. They voted, they favorited anbd they commented, until eventually these videos covered the entire youtube "top commented" page, except for one spot, that's 19/20 videos on the front page with the same thumbnail, with many more on lower pages. It was The day that the nerds took over Youtube.
So ever since then they've been doing this once per year, and it has been hugely successful, a whole bunch of charities are promoted, and this year they have talked with Youtube and they are going to get special privilages for the day that it happens. They want this to be the biggest project for awesome yet, and they need as much support as possible.
This video is the announcment of this years P4A, you can check it out if you want to help.

Yes, you can edit everything about a topic if you want to (and posted it, of course). ^_^
Either way, I like this initiative. When is the next one? I would watch the clips, but I cannot right now.

Yeah, I clicked the same button I had been clicking the whole time and it let me edit the title, when before it wasn't. Dunno what was going on there.
The project is planned to start Friday December 17th, but each youtube "day" lasts 48 hours. This year's thumbnail is not yet ready, but they need as many people as possible helping. So if you want to promote a charity you can make a video, or if you just want to help you can do that too by being present and watching videos, commenting, favoriting them, rating them thumbs up etc.

New Video about the Project for Awesome here (And yes, if you watch that video in it's entirety you will see quite a bit of sillyness.). It seems most of you don't really care, but this is something that can really help a variety of charities, so I will leave the instructions for making a P4A video in case anyone wants to get involved in that way.

Okay, that's a lie, I had understood that they had reached $10,000. They actually raised that much in the raffles, not through comments
