I'll take a Michael keychain as a substatute Suit.

You do realize that, if you used your real name (as I did), he probably has no idea who you are, right?

Then all he has to do is ask, fuck i'll say it, all of RC knows it already. I'm the one from Carl Adams
  • #152

pardon me for asking a question that has probably already been asked, but how will you know who on the forums purchased memberships, messages through PayPal?

Suitcase

I apologize for the blind comment but are the member titles that go under our names going to become part of the members benefits or are those still going to be on your list of things people just really have to bug you about?
  • #154

It's totally in Australia and you can't come.
  • #157

Lark, would you actually prefer Michael to the Jasmine one? You bought it in time to be entitled to the Jasmine one.

ChewySmokey, I don't have an easy way of pairing forum names to people who bought memberships, so I will make it a thing that you have to enter in the member account centre for me to process that way.

Lolwut, titles will continue to be given by admins only. I know some forums offer it, but I feel like most of you would just put vain and boring things there.

Oh, yes, there will be! There's a thread going (for quite some time now  ) for that. ^_^
It should be easy to find, I think it's stickied in Social Studies.
  • #161

It's a little unfathomable to see five pages of this. I mean either join or don't whatever, it's no big deal or anything, it's been stated a thousand times already "It's a way of supporting the comic". I guess my question is, "Is it really that important to you, that your getting bent out of shape because of some words said and a little icon?"

I guess i'm biased because I "support" the arts and whatnot, but I gladly will donate, just to see the comic sore, and one day maybe even go all pro you know, getting sold in bookstores would be kind of cool. So instead of complaining about it, why not just go out, practice and make a comic of your own and make a membership, and forum and all that jazz?

Noooooow commence yelling at me, it's ok.

Lvl 50 Fighter is a professional donator. Awesome.

Haha I hope that was sarcasm, cause it made me chuckle.

But I do actually spend money on children's theater and stuff like that.
  • #164

Orphans need theaters too.

And socks.
  • #165

Yes socks are important. They keep your feet warm in the winter.
  • #166

I will have to get a membership when I get home tonight. My work currently blocks all BCB pages except the forum.

I wish I had noticed this thread while Founding membershipd were still available, but oh well.

Question:
Are memberships being applied slowly? I mean, not slowly (lack of English vocabulary, sorry), but individually? Ergh, I mean, I saw some people with memberships applied already, but I haven't got mine yet.
So, 2 possible things:
1- they are being given slowly (which is fine ^_^)
2- you probably don't know who I am, (I didn't use Lycan in paypal, ^_^)

I'm just asking for directions. What should I do? :x

Check your e-mail you signed up for some more instructions.

Suit is testing the forum atm. When it's good to go I'm sure he will apply the user settings to everyone.
  • #169

When incentive comics finish, will their BCI discussion threads migrate to the main forum? That might solve a lot of the paranoia about the members forum.

Oh, hey, I got an e-mail from Taeshi-san/Mr. SuitCase ^_^

:nope: It's not paranoia...

EDIT:
It looks like it's going to come by mail (the log in info thing).
D'oh. Brazilian Mail sucks.
I'll sit waiting, then.

I hacked your e-mail and knew it was there :smirk:
  • #172

Hacking is a virtue.
  • #173

Membership is awesome. The site looks great like this! Plus my minimission is absolutely perfect - thanks, Taeshi!

I will now attempt to use my Bittersweet Gold card for a discount in every store I use. It should cut at least 50% off in most places, right?
  • #174

got an email on the 1st saying it was on it's way, I asked a question and it was answered quickly. very excited 8-D
  • #175

(Hopefully) Going to buy my BCI membership soon ^_^
  • #176

You should probably block me from that forum until I shell out the cash necessary to have earned a peek in there.
  • #177

Yappy, 70%.
  • #178

For some reason the ad blocker turns off every time I log out? I have to sign back into the members page and turn it on again.
  • #179

It's set by a cookie. I guess your browser is deleting it every time you close it? Do the page comments remember your name? Does the forum need to be logged into often?
  • #180

Well I didn't respond before, but I do it now.

I would like to support taeshi's work, but not through the BCI. I will for sure buy the book when it is done.
  • #181

awesome, it came today! now I just gotta wait 1-5 days for my account to update.
  • #182

Hmm, there was founder pack? Seems like I missed it. That's what I get for not lurking the past two-three weeks :3.

Could someone tell me what kind of an awesome thing it was that I did indeed miss? (Bought the regular membership now anyway of course!)

Also: If my avatar is too furry, remove it if you must.

Yeah the page comments still work fine for me. And I never log out to be honest, it just logs out automatically if I don't stay on the website long enough.
  • #184

It really shouldn't. What browser are you using?

Swinter, basically you could pay $59 and get a small commission drawing included with your order. It's not otherwise very different.

(Although I suppose there was the implicit guarantee you'd get a Jasmine keychain instead of having to wait a few months.)
  • #185

Suitcase, I may have missed something, but how can you tell what your member number is? The thingy said I was a BCI founding member, but it that like the first ten or the first 50? just curious...
  • #186

It'll be the last 3 digits of the card number you received.

Ah, right!

Well, not a terribly big loss then :). I can always just donate $20 more whenever I feel like it anyway XD.
