Twilight: Why you love/hate it Give a serious reason why you either love or hate Twilight.
I never cared for twilight I hate it. I'm Edward and I glitter in the sun, not burn to death. Bellas always depressed but we made love and made a creepy vampire child. Vampires are blood sucking monsters, not love lust guys.

Talk about twilight got old when twilight first came out, and this was never actually suppose to be a real discussion thread just a place were a bunch of people who have never read it or refused to could bitch about it. While it's a bit shocking how popular the series got, it's not completely a surprise when you consider who it's audience is, the real problem comes from people just wanting to get on the band wagon of hating on it just cause they can, because at some point it just becomes sad that someone can get so upset about someone else liking a fairly harmless, if not a bit badly written, and silly book.
I've never read the book but I don't hate it, I just had a friend explain the premise to me like 4 years ago and I didn't like it, my only real experience with it is the first movie which my friends dragged me to and which was pretty bad, like even the make up looked cheap bad. It was never something that floated my boat but it never really deserved the complete trashing people give it in my opinion, heck I recently read another book that came out about the same time as Twilight that had a similar premise if you just replaced vampire with pixies (keep the fairy jokes to yourself they aren't funny anymore if they ever were) but was handled much much better in story and execution, though still a bit silly.
Point is it's stupid to say you hate something you've never read and to hate other people for enjoying it, especially when you probably like some stupid things too.

Fifty Shades of Grey has topped best-seller lists around the world, including the United Kingdom and the United States. The series has sold 40 million copies worldwide, with book rights having been sold in 37 countries, and set the record as the fastest-selling paperback of all time, surpassing the Harry Potter series
Very old, but still, the fact that a Twilight fanfic has reached this surprises me to no end.
