Before coming to the IRC, my internet posts were very dry, boring, and polite. But ever since I've been posting in the IRC, I've noticed a great change! I'm slightly more humorous and I type curse words out more often!! My friends in other forums and chatrooms used to comment on how polite I was, but now I'm the jerk of the chat, calling all the shots! Never before was I able to successfully use mob mentality to my advantage!! Never before was I able to send people into fits of rage just by exploiting their "weaknesses"!! Thank you BCB IRC!!!

Yeahhhhh, whenever I look at Random Chat, I see creepy perverts hitting on whatever girl is there and being utterly terrible. And giving masturbatory hints. And being really freaken creepy. Did I mention creepy?

I guess you guys don't judge because it's honestly the lowest common denominator of a chat and smarter people think it's too much of a cesspool of shit to go visit unless they wanna pick on the people there making a fool of themselves.

Yeah Taeshi you would need to have spent some more time backreading to understand what is going on. And the hitting on a girl is just something that Lyx, Drax and Doma picked up with Slia and telling jake what to do is just that (from what I gather, might be wrong)they wanted to make sure he don't hurt himself :3. Also its funny embarrasing him about it. Anyways point is to understand and enjoy the RC you would need to backread. And usually allot of people don't really have the patience for that.

And sure there is some rage here and there but that is very common with so many different people expressing different ideals and beliefs on certain subjects.

Pervert/stalker-like behaviour. The concept of seeing people pretend to "faint" and make it a big deal to "e-hug" a girl is really freaken creepy to me. I may be weird and all but I don't kiss every ass that comes through the RC like Jake and Redjack. To be honest the RC is becoming quite boring. Nothing happens there that amuses me anymore. Besides, mostly the only topic in there right now is LOD and his sex kitty that makes Jake have a heart attack.

I found that the first time i was on IRC that people were pretty relaxed, didnt have much to talk about but its still nice to check in there every so often to see some of the older memeber i used to talk with more on the old foruoms. I just generally dont have much to say when im on there

I find it easier to talk in the IRC when I somewhat nudge the topic towards something I do know about.

Here's what you can do: post funny images. We love that shit. We will halt almost ANY conversation to comment on a funny image. (trust me)

Just my opinion I guess but that is how I see it. My first time in irc, someone actually said hi and tried to initiate conversation with the newbie. I thought that was really cool.

Well why wouldn't they. Your a newcomer who was interested in joining this community because you enjoyed the comic. Only times people are mean is when they were pissed off by someone other than yourself. Its pretty much the same with the RC. (in my opinion, when new folk come into the RC we welcome them and then let them join in on the conversation)

RC and IRC are just two different means of having occasionally topical but mostly irrelevant conversations, and different people will gravitate to whichever one most strikes their fancy.
