Unrequited has a very nice balance of comedy and drama.

It also makes me approve Mike further. ^_^
  • #101

Unrequited just blew Moving On out of the water with a 12-0 win!

Round 21 proceed. A Distance Apart and Sayonara, Kizuna the Dog go toe-to-toe!

I was about to vote for Sayonara, (specially for the Sonic Adventure 2 reference =D)

But A Distance Apart is where Lucy confesses.
It's so deeply canonical that it's impossible for me to vote against it.

And Mike standing by his own convictions is awesome. 8-D
  • #105

"Sayonara" was a hilarious intermission, also liked how it was a Simpsons parody BUT, it does NOT at all compare to "A Distance Apart" :/

Also how come when you type in KZ's name it says, "getting fucked in the ass"

Some "censor" SuitCase put up.
  • #107

Sayonara, Kizuna the Dog gets put to rest by A Distance Apart with an 11-3 win!

Round 22 begin. Break Time and Lucy's 14th Birthday get down and dirty!

Sorry Lucy, Break Time just gave more laughs. ;)

Neither of them are strong chapters, but for the reason Mr. Skyline posted, I'll go for Break Time. :)

I'd stick with Lucy's 14th birthday, I must admit. That one entertained me for a moment or two, while the other one didn't grant me more than a brief amusement.
  • #112

Lucy's 14th Birthday breaks Break Time with a 8-4 win!

Time for Round 23 to initialize. Daisy's Birthday and Misunderstanding and Change spice it up!

Well, this is easy. Anything with PauloxLucy wins by my book. :smirk:

Misunderstanding and Change will take my vote.

I find the "Hi, I'm Daisy" thing amusing, but it won't hold against something with a little story-dense. #^_^#
  • #114

Misunderstanding and Change reaps through Daisy's Birthday and takes it with a 6-2 win!

Round 24 beckons for action. Are Rising Temperature and Wishful Thinking ready?

Go Abbey! :smirk:

There we go. I somehow thought Wishful Thinking was the "Wishing Game: HARD MODE" intermission. ^_^

So my vote does go to Rising Temperature, thank you very much.

That's Tread Carefully, which is, AFAIK, the only intermission left out of the 32 pieces of papers still left to be picked. ;)

Meh.
Rising Temperature, but I don't expect it to last long. :O
  • #121

Rising Temperatures definitely, the last three panels of Wishful Thinking are great though, can't help but laugh a little each time I see it.
  • #122

Rising Temperatures. Go Abbey! :D
  • #123

I'm only voting Rising Temperatures because Auggie is in it.

Yes, and it would be a lot more accurate too :D

Everyone likes the fight between Mike and Abbey.

Perhaps if I posted this in Social Studies, it would get more publicity. Maybe we can ask ILB to move it? He frequently posts and votes anyway. :O
  • #128

Rising Temperature pulverizes Wishful Thinking with a 9-2 win!

Proceeding to Round 25. A Difficult Choice and Unmerry Melodies are off to duel!

This is easy. Unmerry Melodies is a real guilty pleasure and I'd vote it over most chapters any day. :smirk:

Seriously, Mr. Skyline?
I don't see much in Unmerry Melodies...

A Difficult Choice killed me with the "CHEATERCHEATERCHEATER" sequence XD
  • #130

It's like duck season except you get sex instead of free food! 8-D

Difficult Choice? The choice wasn't that difficult.

Ahh, David Yelling "AWK-WARD!", Paulo Beating Mike up calling him a cheater then some girls join him... Twice! and many more things as well...
I think "Difficult Choice" is geting my vote! 8-D

I love the song "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing", 'cause I love the movie Armageddon

Sorry for the late update guys. I'm putting up two rounds today just to compensate for it.

Round 25 ends with A Difficult Choice beating Unmerry Melodies with a 7-4 win!

Round 26 and 27 go simultaneously. Show and Tell and Pep Rally battles alongside Hot Pursuit and Aftermath!

Show and Tell is interesting, but Pep Rally is taking my vote. It's really funny, poor Maishul!
Hot Pursuit, no doubt. ^_^

No worries, Mr. Skyline! ;)
  • #136

Hot Pursuit is actually IMO one of the greatest chapters of the entire webcomic.

Hmm... I enjoyed the Confrontation arc, regardless of the chapters' individual quality. Aftermath is a part of it, and the story is very good, so I give my vote to it.

The other is Pep Rally. ^_^
  • #139

I loved "Hot Pursuit", it was ironically sad, but that's what makes a story so good. :D
  • #140

Round 26 and 27 have concluded. Pep Rally and Hot Pursuit gets the best out of Show and Tell and Aftermath, both with a 7-3 win!

It's Round 28's turn. New Beginnings and Unfulfilled Fantasy takes a whack at it!

Ahh... Ahh...

I don't want to vote against any of those chapters >_<
They're both good, for their different reasons... New Beginnings is nice, it marks the stare Abbey/Daisy couple, and the funny and cute way they kissed.

Unfulfilled Fantasies is cute because we can see Mike with Sandy, and they were a cute couple. And there's that Yashy being the voice of god saying perfect messages for Mike too...

Guh...

I'll go for Unfulfilled Fantasies, but I guess it'll lose. Too many people shipping Mike x Lucy :(

Although Unfulfilled Fantasy was a good chapter, I do not think it is even half as good as New Beginnings. ^_^
  • #143

WHY?!?!?!

Why must you make me choose!?
  • #144

GRRRR IHATEABBEY

But seriously, while both are good chapters, I don't think New Beginnings finished...well, finished. It sort of started talking about abbey, but it didn't make a whole lot of sense. Reading it's like trying to understand someone's dream. MAKKA NO SENSES

This post has been edited by Dr. Klaus: 20 February 2011 - 10:12 PM

  • #145

New beginnings didn't really have that much depth of story, but it had a lot of really good scenes in it, including, arguably, one of the best in the whole comic, it gets my vote.
  • #146

Unfulfilled Fantasy tramples New Beginnings with a 7-5 win!

Round 29 represents. Mischief Night and Intervention gets it on!
  • #147

Woo, I wrote a fanfic about Carson's Death, so Cthulhu takes the cake.

I would not call that a trample. Not by any means. ^_^

Still, my vote easily goes to Intervention. Of course, Mischief Night was great fun, and very well drawn, but Intervention had a magnificent story as well as the charm of the whole Acapulco line of thought.

Also, one of my favourite David moments.
  • #149

I love the "Summer Arc" , that's why I choose "Intervention" :D
