Part of this was a commission by Chris, but a great deal of it was done as a birthday gift. Happy birthday, man!

SueXAmaya porn. Have fun.

Oh! And a thank you to Bellboy for proofreading. And a BIIIIIIG thank you to Suitcase for helping me so much with the editing and critiquing. The story is 100x times better because of his input.

I am okay with this

Okay, first off the simple stuff:

Quote

I usually found myself with quite a few hours left in the day, wondering around aimlessly,
Do you mean wandering? I mean, it could be either, but wandering would make more sense.

Quote

Whether it is the dry, startling misery that can only be found only in classics
#^_^#

Quote

(Paragraph 6) "sense", "logic"
I wouldn't use the quotation marks here. a bit of a stylistic choice, but the meaning is quite obvious without them, and as they are, they're a bit distracting.

Quote

Yet, I feel no regrets.
Consider revising? I feel no regret. I have no regrets. I don't feel regret. maybe it's just the plural that's bugging me.

Quote

one that affords us – sentience – great power, and
Not sure what you were trying to do here with the hyphens, but it threw me off a bit. I'd have just gone for the more traditional 'Comma': one that affords us sentience, great power and... Or maybe I misunderstood the sentence? one that affords us – sentients – great power, and... ?

Otherwise a pretty deep text. I had to read it twice to try and really figure it out (though that's probably the aim of it!). At first I thought the protagonist was meant to be the author, then the story itself, but now I think it's meant to be just a character, as imagined by the reader? That would make the most sense, what with the little Ohio background and whatnot. The trouble I have is that it couldn't be a recursive thing as suggested by the story. If a reader imagines a character, they won't usually create their thoughts along with it, except in so far as the text guides them, or if they later dwell on the character. So the character itself would be incapable of becoming a reader himself and creating a new character. Even if you consider it alive, it can't be autonomous. The reader's life must necessarily be much more complex than the character's, or the latter wouldn't fit in a book. With such loss of complexity, you could maybe have a character create another character and maybe even go three levels deep, but not much more than that. Unless of course, you suggest that characters can have a life of their own - outside the book, independent of author and reader.

I had fun reading it, thanks.

I appreciate the review! As for the hyphens in your last quote: it is defining who "us" is.

Also, the end part I'd rather not explain. It is up for interpretation; though, your ideas are very interesting.

I don't know if anyone is interested in my writing, or even writing in general anymore, but just in case there are some people who are, I have decided to extend this offer!

I will be doing commissions again. One cent a word. Now, I never exactly stopped doing this, however, this time it will be different. For the remaining time that Bittersweet Candy Bowl is in Mix March Madness I will be donating 100% of the proceeds in order to purchase votes.

So that means if you purchase a story a from me, you will be both donating to a charity to help artists, as well as helping to support your potential favorite web comic, BCB!

The commissions are as they ever were. I will write almost anything. That includes disgusting porn, and everything worse. All you have to do is describe what you want, I will write the story, post it, you will send the money to me, and I will then donate an equal amount of money and provide a receipt. Or, YOU can donate the money and show me the receipt, whichever you prefer!

Ha ha, I actually didn't even realize the opposing comic was Weregeek until a few moments ago. Yes, I know, I am pitiful sometimes. I'm getting too invested in this competition. But I suppose it couldn't hurt to at least give it a the ol' college try!

Also, Purin will be making the first commission. It is for $7/700 words. He hasn't yet told me what he wants, but he has already donated the money.

So a person over DA has contacted me in regards to doing 6 stories, each 2k words a piece. That is $120 to charity, plus a $10 tip to me if I manage to do ALL the stories. I also still have to do Purin's PauloXDaisy, which is 700 words and getting close to finished.

What needs to be done:

  • PauloXDaisy 700
  • MikeXSandy 2k
  • AugustusXDaisy 2k
  • PauloXLucy 2k
  • AbbeyXDaisy 2k
  • MikeXLucy 2k

Excellent to hear that you are getting more chances to excercise your writing. I am assuming the charity is the webcomic bracket voting thing.

Ace I won't even ask what that is or how you even know that term. Instead I will ask: Are you doing any more Jasmine related stories... preferably with Jasmine being happy again? I thought for sure that you would be the first to try it after... recent events.

Serpents of the Eternal Sands Bathed in the Blood of the Ancients has been added!

This is Purin's PxD commission. He donated $7 dollars.

Supertails donated $120 and his stories are now priority.

No wacko, just no :nope:. No one here is a "whore." Ugh, that's just wrong even for a joke. Meowth isn't my favorite writer either... he will have to settle for being one of my favorites(even though I haven't read all his stories yet... sorry Meowth D: ... at least you are in the top 5 along with William Shakespeare) We all know that Taeshi holds the spot for the best story maker around . Oh, and you are the best at grabbing my attention here on the Forums :D.

If you had any idea how much I donated for the tournament(apart from what my group had me donate :smirk: ), the amount I spent on the Kickstarter(worth it d^_^), or how much I am planning to spend for the "gift" I am going to send to Taeshi and Suitcase(eventually, but I can't do it while they are moving and I want to make sure I have X and Y together before I go sending anything... I'm lame I know -_-)... then you'd have a reason to call me a crazed fan. Oh, don't look at me like that I just want to be supportive of Veronica and Oliver on all their endeavors #^_^#. That is all... I think . Better not be a crush because I wouldn't know how to deal with that :x.
