So this char is you?

Nah, the above pic is just a fanart. And I used to have a character a few years back. A crazy blue bunny, but I don't really draw him anymore.

And another artist's take on him.

I'll probably make a new one from scratch later, one that's less neon colorish.

I don't remember if this has been asked, but do you take requests/commissions?

And if so, how do you feel in your ability to draw mechs

This post has been edited by Scarfy: 11 March 2011 - 07:15 PM

  • #102

At the moment, no, because I have other real life obligations to attend to right now, as well as personal projects on top of that.

Posted Image

And yeah, I can do mechs and other robot stuff. I tend to paint those with values most of the time (below), but I can also do line sketches if you want it more simple. So yeah, once I'm able to start commissioning, I'll make a post here to announce it.

Well this is just plain epic. 8-D

By the looks of your sci-fi pictures, I can't help to wonder how well they remind from some armors from Fallout, Halo and S.T.A.L.K.E.R game series. ( Yes I played them all and enjoyed the very much )
  • #104

Awesome, I was just curious, because I wanted to get a picture of a character of mine climbing out of a mech for Cthulhutech

This is the mech http://www.stargazer.../02/gladius.jpg (at 23' tall) So you'd get an idea of what I'll request/commission when the time comes 8-)
  • #105

Who's your character? Can you note PM me the rest of the details?

Yup, another great comic. I think the art style is a bit too detailed and realistic, though, but that's just me being nitpicky.

The spider pic was based more on silhouette than detail, so that was a little simpler. Here's a process pic:

Your awesomeness cannot be described Marshmallow. How much does it takes you to draw this stuff?
Doesn't matter what you draw, it just BLEEDS AWESOME.

I'd probably spend a couple hours on it at the most before I start to get bored with the drawing. The spider one was probably 3 hours or so plus another to fix some errors. My bad habit is that I'm not very patient when it comes to drawing, which means I usually try to get an idea down in one session. I don't feel as much passion for something if I come back to it later after a break.

Rabbi + t = Rabbit?
Hey! Do a Rabbit Rabbi!
  • #138

Didn't have much time to sketch today, but I gave inking another shot to try to practice some line weight. This drawing wasn't drawn by me, though. Just pulled it out of my reference library and redrew the clean lines over it.

  • #139

You're definitely getting better at line weights. Good rule of thumb I always used that makes stuff look more 3d is: the more empty space there is behind an edge, the thicker that edge's line should be. For example, the dog's right arm in the drawing above - the left side of his arm is in front of empty space, so the edge line is thicker, where the right side of his arm is just a short distance in front of his body, so the line is thinner.
  • #140

Thanks for the feedback, Wheat. When I get time, I'm gonna try to do some more inked characters to get the hang of it.

You are so good, so...so good ._. PLEASE! LEND ME YOUR STRENGTH!

What's your secret? Is it practice? Cause I can do that! Omg I hope it's practice so that I can practice until my eyes bleed and I'll be a cool artist like you ;w; you're awesome. ohhh I can't wait till you open up requests, I'd love to see you draw one of my characters x3
  • #142

Yeah, it's pretty much practice. I'm obviously still doing that myself, so we're in the same boat. :P Just draw something every single day, and you'll be well on your way!
  • #143

Truly this is unbelievably good and interesting.

Every single day I draw some doodles and sketches, but its no-where near your level...
How much years of practice did you had? ;)
  • #144

Been doing it for a couple years now. I think some people here have been drawing much longer than me, actually. I didn't draw that much until the senior year of high school, so I pretty much went into turbo mode and did a lot of catching up recently. Click this image to see what I mean. It pretty much speaks for itself:

Good grief look at that jump between 07 and 08!
I've been drawing for 7 years and looks dreadfully like I'm not progressing anymore, haha.

Your stuff is incredible. Please have my babies.
