It's going to take me about 27 consecutive hours to finish watching Hajime no Ippo, but I am going to do it. Well, maybe just the first two or three on the first night to wet my toes.

They way I do it is I force his presence in the mind into one spot, then bind him.
Pretty much locking him away.
Unfortunately if something happens that angers him he may be able to break free.

Just search for his will, or soul, force it into a single spot, like a small corner of the mind, and seal him off.

Followed with feeling very sympathetic with both of them while they were trying to deal with their situation of Lucy possibly being pregnant.
Then I felt very relieved when everything worked out for the both of them with Lucy not being pregnant.

I think I'm getting writers block...
I'm trying to find a role that the regular humans play for the sorcerer, but all they really are are just... People for him to protect.
They don't serve him any purpose besides the free meals and popularity. Other then that I can't think of any other reason of why he protects them in the first place.
He just does it because... It's the right thing to do.

I don't want him to be selfish... Just a sort of anti-hero.
Remember the scene where he made that ball of light to play with the crowd below him? He didn't care about them enough to go down there personally, but at the same time he wasn't so mean to where he all out ignored them.
He laughed when he saw how they reacted to his little spell, he was willing to put the burden of a entire city on his shoulders, and none of it was for personal gain.
He isn't totally selfless like the stereotypical hero, but he isn't a heartless being who's only motivation is self reward.

@ Jake: I finished the first episode. Not bad. The Fist of the North Star-style animation I can live with, but I enjoy sports and I suppose that if I keep watching this anime I'll enjoy boxing too. I mean, I already do, but I don't think I really appreciated it all that much before.

But the thing is, he didn't ask for the free services like food, and he could care less about being popular.
Remember how he's treated at his school? He would rather be left alone then the center of attention.
And if you read carefully, you can see that he has tried to pay money at things like restraunts and stores, but because of his status as the city's "Hero" he's always getting free service. He just sort of said, "Screw it. I'm not bothering with this anymore." and started accepting the free meals.
He dosen't want everyone to be obsessing over what he does to help the city or over him, but at the same time he dosen't want everybody to hate him as well.
He just wants to be left alone.
