I would be fine if you had her exist but you can't just have a woman come along and save him from himself because she was weak in theknes for his loins. If you need reasons, because it is corny, because he spent the first half the the show complaining internaly about how he was alone, becasue he would no longer need to call everyone his family, becasue it is too easy, and becasue it has been done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done and done.

Oh, he could have one. He would just think of them like more gum on his shoe. It could be some kid who he has had classes with for a long time and who showes up at his appartment once in a while. The whole time the hero would just be obliging and the freind would be saddend by this but push on through. Like, he would treat him just like h treated the people in the alley. The kids reactions would be all happy until the hero tries to please him by showing off or something. The reaction in the hall durring the flying sceen would be one of the biggest clues to a difference.
