Something about Jasmine getting on a bus and never returning I'm sure.

jasmine was pretty cool for awhile. she's a lot like me in the way we are always busy and unavailable. what is probably going to happen is that paulo is going to dump jasmine, and they will either become friends or not. if not, jasmine might try to make it up to him again. kinda suck if she left bcb, but then again i'm not sure i would care much.

I find everyones lack of faith disturbing.

Everyone sees Jasmine apparently forgetting her lesson from the beginning of November, ignoring Paulo in favor of seemingly everything else possible, and not even caring that she's driving her boyfriend away. She doesn't even pretend to be sorry about putting her friends and her preparations for her future ahead of Paulo so consistently. It's gotten so bad Paulo's decided to break up with her tomorrow if things don't change, and he can't even warn her about his ultimatum because she's too busy. What do you expect people to expect?

And ditching her boyfriend for her her mandatory meeting makes her happy, possibly even happier than her mandatory mall trip. It probably doesn't make her happier though than mandatory homework that conveniently takes up exactly the amount of time she has free after all activities not involving Paulo.

If it's mandatory, it would almost certainly have been announced in advance. The least she could do is tell Paulo in advance when she's busy instead of constantly leaving it as an unpleasant surprise.

The problem is not that she has a busy life. The problem is that she seems to only worry about if it's a problem and how to ensure she spends some time with Paulo anyway when directly threatened with an imminent breakup. She should figure out her schedule in advance, find times to reserve to spend with Paulo so he won't start to wonder if his girlfriend actually exists, and take measures if necessary to keep those times free. Failure to plan is planning to fail and you can hardly expect people not to judge her on the basis of any decisions she may make that are detrimental to her social life or the happiness of a more significant character.

Or, to get back to a sentence I'm sure I've said before: she's not trying. She knows her problem and yet clearly is not working towards a compromise between her desire to participate in everything and the demands of a relationship.

Or she has an incurable disease and unfortunately is going to die, so she doesn't want Paulo to get too attached to save his heart.

Or she's purposely trying to avoid Paulo by excusing it on her other activities.

Hmm, Jasmine. Honestly when she first showed up I didn't think much of her, I think I was even kinda annoyed that a new character was brought in for some reason. But as time when on I didn't dislike her but I wasn't totally thrilled with her like a lot of people seem to be. With the newer pages I've started to dislike her a bit (sorry Ace...) since she doesn't seem to serious about Paulo. This I can understand considering that she is a freshman after all and is younger then most of the cast. It seems like she mostly enjoys having Pualo as a boyfriend and might like him a lot be its not the same amount or with the seriousness as Pualo does, She seems to have trouble with her priorities juggling her friends, school activities and her boyfriend.

Although since this got necro'd somehow let's reflect on our recent Jasminings.

Chapters like Carry Me show us that while Jasmine does have alot of commitments she is invested in the relationship to the point where she is willing to reduce her commitments outside of school. But of course if it ends up failing then no hard feelings as an askbcb has shown us. She as rational and grounded as can be aspired to at her age.

Lets skip to Piece of Cake then and see that good ol' Jasmine again shows that there are things outside of her control but when she doesn't she'll take the time to make snowmen with Paulo and such. She's even hinting at something, or perhaps that's just Paulo's imagination. Regardless, she's pretty great.

I really like her in the current preview, it's fun just seeing her act silly and cute.

Nah, Jasmine strikes me as a convenient plot device who looks cute. Her only purpose is for Paulo to get over Lucy. She's rather flat and kind of a Mary Sue. I mean, you can say the same about Sandy, but at least Sandy has been shown in different lights, and more importantly, she has been in existence for a loong time so she makes more sense. And she's shown to be imperfect. Jasmine is so perfect it really annoys me.

I don't believe Paulo and Jasmine will be together much longer. Even though Jasmine has made efforts at making more time for Paulo (such as dropping violin lessons and begging her parents to return in time for Tess' New Year's party), Paulo still doesn't see nearly enough of her. To him, it seems like she's always too busy for him, regardless of whether it's her fault or not (such as her family going to visit her grandma for a week). Heck, the only reason Jasmine even had time to make a snowman with Paulo was because they were both on school vacation, and even then Jasmine had to leave early. I don't think it's fair for Paulo to have to remain in a relationship with a girl who's basically unavailable to him.

Furthermore, I don't feel that Paulo has a natural connection with Jasmine. The only reason he's even with her in the first place was because David literally pushed him into dating freshmen. And while Paulo does care for Jasmine, he cares for Lucy even more, because Lucy's his crush (as clearly shown by his wandering thoughts in "Piece of Cake"). Hence the inner conflict that he's experiencing right now.

So, I foresee a Paulo/Jasmine breakup in the near future. At least Jasmine's mature enough that she'd probably get over it relatively quickly. A relationship with Paulo is not the be-all and end-all with her.

Yeah I'll be sad when they break up because Jasmine is pretty awesome and we'll see way less of her once she's not dating Paulo but as for her just being a device to get Paulo over Lucy I disagree for the simple fact that it's not really working, at least much as we've seen in Piece of Cake. He might be getting over her in the "I like you" sense but I don't think he would ever leave her behind, he still values her as a friend to much to just leave her.

Well we knew they were doomed fro the start, that's obvious. However I'm sure we'll still see her after the inevitable, its not like she's a getting fucked in the ass.

Doomed from the start? I'm not so sure. She was a good distraction for Paulo from Lucy, and I'm fairly sure PxL ain't gonna happen. She's sticking around for a while.

No Taeshi has said basically since first introducing Jasmine that she and Paulo weren't gonna last forever, that's old news bro.

Besides Jasmine doesn't LOVE the guy, which is a word that is thrown about without meaning at all by these people. She's pretty grounded in her beliefs and futures and such. Like she's the kind who may stay with him through high school but probably not to college because she has goals.

Incidentally, I am tempted as fuck to draw Tea Party PauloxJasmine myself, though AbbeyxMolly would be more appropriate in a lot of ways.
