Can you guess where in the comic this is from?

He I managed to copy and modify some of the great pics that Lucy shows during the comic. Now I want to see if people can tell from which part of the comic this is. Please any other comments with your answers if you wish :). If u can't see it properly at some points let me know and I can adjust that.

First pic has been discovered chapter 51 'A Distance Apart', page 11, panel 2 by 'Purin'

To be fair, the discussion about your lame attraction to a fictional character is FAR more interesting than straining our eyes over some poorly drawn sketches of Lucy that were posted at a retardedly low resolution. I'm not gonna take the time out to save the image, zoom into it, and then cry because the pixelation is so painful it gives me aids of the eyes.

tl;dr, stop being a creepy fan and making stupid threads. That, or accept the ridicule that comes with being a creepy fan that makes stupid threads.

Social disorders are all just in your mind. Just like, walk up to some chick and be all "Hi. My name is [insert name here] and I would like to eat your vagina".

You'll be all good ;)

Everybody has something wrong with them. It's up to you whether or not you give enough of a shit to let it be a problem or not.

Seriously, name dropping whatever syndrome you suffer from isn't really gonna win you any brownie points round here.
  • #24

You most likely don't know what my disorder is. I'd ask you to look it up but you would just say "doesn't matter". Either way it matters to me cause I havn't had a good friend in my 17 years of living on this pile of dirt we call the earth. Rant on me whatever you feel like, I'm just a lonely guy looking for something to occupy himself with.
  • #25

I'm well aware of what Asperger syndrome is. My point is that even if you really DO have it, it's only a problem if you let it be.

Pining after a fictional character for example, is not helping.

Regardless of how fucked up a hand life has dealt you, I have no sympathy for people who hide behind that fact as a shield to justify their actions. You have a social disorder. Somebody else here struggles daily with abusive parents, another poster is transgendered and is struggling to hold onto their relationship after comming out about it. I could go on. Hell. I could fill an entire thread with all the shit that's happened to me alone.

Suck it up, and deal with it like everybody else.

Look I like Lucy's personality and appearance and the reason I feel so strongly about her is because I hope to find someone that resembles her in many ways. All I'm asking right now is to stop criticising the thoughts and feelings of people that just enjoy a good idea. I don't think that people who enjoy the storyline and personality of a character are just creepy fans.

Also yes I know my pictures look crappy but its hard to scan pencil drawings when you are carefull with the drawings themselves. Some lines are just lightly drawn to make sure I didn't make mistakes. If you want perfect drawings you should ask the artist herself but don't rant on my drawings just cause u can't see them properly and have to make it sound like I did a horrible job at it. Drawings is a path of trail and error. First drawings aren't gonna be perfect and its normal and friendly ciriticism that improves the drawer not harsh comments. If you couldn't make it out properly, you should have just told me that instead of ranting about how I'm obsessed with a character I like. Beating down on a person's troubles won't make you a better person. It only makes them even more sad that they are reminded of it.

Final Note: SHOVE OFF! >:(

I'm gonna comment real quick before the storm strikes.

I applauded you for at least knowing that practice makes you better.
But I suggest trying not to draw attention to yourself further than your art.
Trust me, you do not want to get these guys riled up.
(plus you have a long way to earn the respect of certain folks)

On to the critique:
First and foremost, I suggest that you practice sketching a circle (very lightly).
Once you got that, print out some art and sketch the circle in the head.
Notice how well the circle serves as a base and how the features of the head extend around it.
Then practice drawing the circle first and then drawing the features of the head.
If you manage to pull that off with good results, I will continue to critique.

As for the off-topic stuff:
We've had less than friendly folks appear here on the forums and of course some disturbing fans.
It probably doesn't excuse some of us from acting the way we should.
(I for one think some people are a tad too rash)
But then again, you should've used some common sense and look up past topics.
If you were only here in the before era, you would've known what has transpired here...
(And by that I mean the huge conflicts about fancharacters and fans revealing a little too much about their obsession to fictional characters)

You probably got off on the wrong foot, but you have a chance to make it up if it isn't too late.

Furfag. That is the designation you've got until you meet the requirements to be filed as something else. I suggest sex with the opposite gender, a lot. Then I can file you under "comrade" But for now...

Arty furfag. You're sharing space with Gnukko.
  • #34

@Ved of Flames I appreciate the fact that you understand me a bit and are willing to help me out in fitting in (and giving me a few pointers on drawing when I wasn't so much drawing it out in my head as I was copying it from the comics themselves), but it just seems that I will be asking the admin to remove this thread (If I am not able to) and just go on with just enjoying the webcomic.

@SushiJaguar You are only further proving my point and that of Ved of Flames. If you mean comrade as in a person who has to go into great detail on how much a person is not normal then I don't wish to be your comrade. People like you are just so judgemental about others because you are trying to hide your own beliefs. You describe me as an Arty Furfag when I'm merely a person who wants to express himself but is having trouble doing that face to face. I don't know you personally but if thats your way of being friendly I shudder to think how you act aggressively.

Final Note: Sorry for trying to be interested in how people would see my art. I didn't think this forum was full with haters and assholes. :(
  • #35

Nah, I don't think I can point out where those are from. There doesn't seem to be enough evidence, really.
  • #36

We're not haters. You just happened to choose a name that seemed to be designed to provoke snide comments, which, in a way, makes your unnacceptance your own fault. As Ved said, we've had some damn creepy people on here (See also: Raxki), and so most of the Forumites tend to have a natural aversion to people who obsess over fictional characters. Try and act a bit more normal, and perhaps get a better username, and just socialise a bit. You can't expect to fit in after only a couple of days of membership. Don't take anything seriously on here. And as a side note, Sushi was being heavily sarcastic, because he's a Britfag and that's what they do.

  • #38

I will actually take that challenge.

In the mean time, take Sammy's advice. Register a different handle, maybe? Iunno, it's up to you, but it'd probably make your life easier.
  • #39

Trying to but can't seem to find the setting that changes. I'll just ask the admin nicely if she could change my display name.
  • #40

You can't change your forum name. You'll need to re-register a new account.

The primary reason I opened with "harsh criticisms" towards your art is because it's nigh impossible to see. Which RickAstley had already pointed out, but you brushed off telling us to "use the magnify tool". That would be one thing if that was a function of the website it was hosted on, but since it's not, I must assume you intended for us to save it and zoom in, and even then, it's resolution is so small, we'd have trouble seeing what it was anyway.

It doesn't matter how "careful" you've drawn it. There's no excuse for saving it at a resolution that makes it incredibly hard to see :\

In regards to your explanation of why you said you love Lucy... Well. How about I just paraphrase what Taeshi says about this fact...

"Who in their right mind would want to get together with Lucy? She's so utterly broken and crazy, and she hates people who try and hit on her. She has deep seeded emotional issues (such as her abandonment and co-dependency) and she's generally a bitch to people."

To further this, I mentioned my belief that people like her because they want to "Protect and fix her", and the response was thus...

"Ha! She'd be kicking their ass and telling them to piss off."

So I guess my question is... Why on earth would you ever want to meet a girl who's anything like Lucy?

another question I'd like to ad is,um since he's human and he wants to be with an anthromorphical (thinks he spelt it right) would that be considered beatiality?

Lucy does not exist. There is no answer to this question.

Of all the stupid shit I have ever seen get spewed out on these forums, the fact you believe (note: I said believe, you aren't) romantically attached to a fictional character that is a cat -- stay with me now, a cat -- awards you the special gift of "The largest pile of stupid horse shit Susan has ever seen". You need to get out into the world. Stop making up excuses. I'm transgender and mentally unstable and even I found someone. You can too.

Hey i think you can use the name Carter(I am not joking)... Is only a idea :)

First she NEVER let her friends in danger...
2- She is the most affectionately person i have see in all my life(look at her pets... now try say i am wrong)
3- And why you think a person being himself is wrong? All are different!

If Lucy is the most affectionate person you've ever seen in your life, then I feel terribly sorry for you.

Even factoring in her pets, she only acts somewhat motherly towards them, and even then has been known to be abusive towards them (specifically Yashi).

Yes, she lets her guard down around them, but that doesn't mean that she would ever do it for you or anybody other than Mike or maybe eventually Paulo.

A truly affectionate character example would be Daisy (or to a lesser extent Jasmine).

As for her defending her friends... She only REALLY does this for her pets and Mike.

The reason I question people on their supposed attraction to Lucy is because so many people misunderstand her character, and like the concept of a character that doesn't exsist.

Given I don't hate Lucy (and I think her character is capable of affection) but those are all very recent examples and she hasn't really shown this much in the past.

I assure you this is only because she hasn't be given a chance too.

I love how almost all of those are also examples of Lucy being a volatile violent chick :P
  • #49

All I'm saying is that I want to have a society similar to that of what Taeshi created because of all of these amazing factors that she put into the storyline. I'm very well aware that she does not exist but that doesn't mean I should give up on looking for someone who resembles her very much. That personality and aggressive nature is what makes her something that in my opinion is a very expressive girl just looking for some attention. And so far she has the attention of pretty much every single person on this forum. Old and new members.

This kind of prejudice is mainly the reason why I feel uncomfortable with the outside world. People think that global warming or the economy or other things are far more important but fail to realize that its actually the source of this. People prejudize things all of the time without making proper research on it. Even in school every single person thrives on being prejudice because its one of the main instincts of the human being. But hey, that's my opinion and you guys will probably say "No the reason is this and that and this". Frankly, I couldn't care less what your opinions are as they are irrelevant regarding to how it would improve this world. I'm stating my facts that I researched and gained from experience. It's up to you all whether you care at all or not cause I mostly certainly stopped caring a long time ago.
