I just went to a dance performance with a bunch of theater buddies, and not a single one of them knew what a 'brony' was. Still, they didn't ask questions about my recent assimilation into the world of MLP, so that either says they don't give a shit about me or they actually are okay with ponies.

Ok lets actually try talking about the show. I want to know how they got away with something specifically how they are allowed to talk about God without everyone raising a massive riot. You all know which episode I'm talking about episode 15 Feeling Pinkie Keen. That episode is clearly about God I'm not asking if it is ok to talk about God to children that is for a different thread. I want to know how you think they avoided people freaking out. I mean people freaked out when Neil Patrick Harris was on sesame street because they thought he would turn their children gay.

Sounds like an interesting episode, but I've only just finished housecleaning and I'm on episode 9. I'll catch up.
There were some really interesting aspects about ep. 6 that really caught my attention. Trixie without her wizard garb came off as underdressed to me, and I was really digging the D&D nerd ponies. And tying up Applejack seemed a tad suggestive to me...
But there was something really odd about ep. 7 and ep. 8. In ep. 7, Fluttershy was less "shy," as she is named, and more "random scared." But that wasn't the most uncharacteristic episode I've watched so far. In ep. 8, Twilight Sparkle was completely out of character. She wasn't paying all that close attention to the bickering between Applejack and Rarity, and she was completely obsessed with doing everything by this one book. She's never done anything like that before. Yes, she's always consulting books for information, but her obsession was so great in that episode that she checked the book to see what to do when the tree fell into her room. It was quite odd, and it was definitely not character development; it happened too abruptly, and I have yet to see it carry over into the future stories.]
