I'm not trying to be an ass but, I've always felt that people who find the need to label themselves with things like that are severely lacking in either personality, interests, or self esteem.

I'm not just bashing bronies. I think the same of people who call themselves gamers, punk, straight edge, hipsters, or what have you. Are you really that shallow that the first thing you want people to identify you by is that you watch my little pony?

I'm pretty sure the cartoons you watch don't make you who you are, but then again, I guess who you are might have an impact on what cartoons you watch.

Group labelings are not really for defining someone as a person. They are more so people of the same likes can label themselves and people outside the group can label people inside the group. Words like gamer, brony, and punk are so you can tell people what you like and that you have common likes with other people in that group. Though I know people who their entire being is that they are part of that group so it would probably just be easier to say you like video games or my little pony.

my thoughts exactly. I don't really use it as a label, but if the subject comes up then i'll say "Yeah, I'm a brony.". but it's not like i live by it or that i use it as a title for myself. Being a brony for me is enjoying the show for all (if not most of) it's worth. It's not based on who you are, nor how proud you are.
