The fire spread vigorously throughout the school building and due to the incompetence of the staff, the fire alarm did not automatically detect the flames. They burst out of the windows and quickly encroached upon Mike's classroom. In a sweeping motion of the grandest bravery did he scoop Lucy out of her chair and carry his love through the burning halls to the safety of the school's courtyard. The firemen arrived shortly after and managed to save a good portion of the school from being incinerated. As thanks for his heroic efforts, Lucy gave Michael a shy peck on the cheek but he swept her into a full-blown kiss much to the dismay of Paulo who received several angry looks from Jasmine. School would be out for a few weeks.

Meanwhile, Paulo's dad arrived on-site for a construction job.
