I'm addicted to web comics.

I have three comics I read. I've read them all but read them more than once.
I've read BCB 3 times, TwoKinds 2 times, and Slightly DAMNED 4 times.

Discuss this obsession.

Do something else with your life.

Start drawing or something. Take up a team sport. Maybe actually focus on your academics.

Go outside and jog, get an entry level job, do tutoring for extra cash, do chores around the house, start some creative writing shit, play board games with your friends, pick up a martial art, collect stamps, go to the library once in a while, join a school debate team, be an active part of your local government, make it a personal goddamn mission to make yourself more aware about what's wrong with the world and what you can do to help fix it Jesus H. Christ in a chicken basket this shouldn't be a mystery, people.

Some of those cost money I don't have. I read the comics when I go to bed. I draw very often and very well. Sports are coolio but I hate football and stuff. I like hockey and soccor, people here hate soccor for some reason.

Meh he is like me. I have to agree with matty though. Like I was told you need to stop making excuses. Webcomics are usually seen as a part time thing. Being out there with friends and socialising, be it doing nothing else but talking or doing sports at the same time, is really what people our age should do. That reminds me I need to go kick myself in the face for still being on the comp :3

BCB
Goonish Shiv
Lackadaisy
It sucks to be Weegie
A girl named Bob
Sandra and Woo
Powerpuff girls Doujinshi
Sugar Bits
A Ninja named Tin
Braindead
I'm my own Mascot
Ensign Sue MUST DIE
Raising Robin
Calvin and Hobbes

& I don't read more than once. I just can't do that. =\ I only read some parts for remembrance or clarification.

  • #8

The only sport I truly enjoy is Hockey. :3
  • #9

Baseball ftw :3 ಠ_ಠ
  • #10

competitive gaming, the best sport ever :D
  • #11

There's a reason people don't like soccer, it's boring. No idea why you'd hate football.
  • #12

Football is boring to me. =\

But I think what bugs me the most are the Fanatics.
  • #13

Hmm typical american thing. They like football but not soccer. Typical british thing they like soccer but not football. (exception may be rugby I dunno I'm not british)
  • #14

I'm not going to say how many because i don't wanna count.

Yeah, we don't play football 'cause we're not colossal pansies who wear body armour. Instead, we play rugby.

(By the way calling it football is still one of the most retarded things the Americans have done ever

I mean you throw the ball and carry it. You only have one player who kicks it and he need to be brought onto the field to do it.)

Pffhahaha, at one point i had a list of over 80 webcomics and their update schedule which I would check daily to know what was new that day. vSadly i lost this list and now only read a select few. And you say you're addicted with only three.

You North Americans and your abuse of proper language and conventions. ^_^

Peh... I read very quickly... So i have many webcomics on the go, currently its about 32...

I do other stuff though. Like my studies, and gaming and socialising, it's just something to fill time! Except BCB, this is the one i'm most committed to.

I agree with you Sushi! Although, I always thought Rugby to be a bit of a soft thing, I mean, they're always hugging and stuff :smirk:

The ball is a foot long, hence: football.

My mind just exploded.
  • #21

we all read a lot of webcomics. hell, I have about 50+ bookmarked that I check regularly for updates, though I don't think I've read a webcomic more than once.

Well web comics are usually here to deliver some fun and joy if you are bored. Personally, I have around 15 web comics I usually read.

I recommend seeing these:

-Looking for Group- Looking For Group » 1

-Ctrl+Alt+Del- Ctrl+Alt+Del - Rose-tinted (2013-05-20)

-Cyanide & Happines- Cyanide & Happiness #15 - Explosm.net

-Menage a 3- Ménage à 3 :: Whoever you want me to be

I regularly read 12 webcomics. That list will likely get pared down to 10 soon.

The scary fanatics are those who read 100+ webcomics. I know one guy who pruned nearly half of his reading list, and was still left with over 330 webcomics. Not only that, he has 160+ webcomics (including BCB!) on his to-read list.

Is your favourite team the Toronto Maple Leafs? :P Mine is the Edmonton Oilers. Yes, that team in last place. They've got a nice group of young guys though, and Eberle is one of them.

I also watch Canadian football, and play indoor soccer. The only time I played rugby was in high school PE.
  • #26

Hahaha someone listed Calvin and Hobbes as a webcomic.
  • #27

I'll normally read

BCB!
and
Questionable Content!

other then that, I read "Simon Bloom; Gravity Keeper"...

footballllll

"EDIT": I even know Calvin & Hobbes isn't a webcomic, but in his defense, I also listed something that wasn't ^_^

YOU THINK YOU HAVE A PROBLEM?

i read ATLEAST 15. most active with community for this one though. but my point remains, 3 webcomcis is all you say you read, and i read atleast 5 times more. if anything I should be making a thread about this.

I hate canada.
  • #30

no I'm serious, the only time I read these comics is when I am laying down going to bed.
  • #31

Sorry, I read Calvin and Hobbes on the internet since I can't find them in my local newspaper. I just took the list off my favorites without thinking to check it.

Whatever.

You won't find Calvin and Hobbes in many newspapers considering the creator retired quite some time ago.

In North America, perhaps. In Europe, there are very many newspapers that have daily strips with 'dead' comics - such as Larson's The Far Side, Schulz' Peanuts and Calvin and Hobbes.

I have a list on my favorites page of all my webcomics. Also, I've read BCB 3 times, Twokinds about 3-5 times, and Slightly Damned 3 or 4 times... not to mention looking for group and a whole lot of other shit.... and I re-read a lot of them because I just have way too much free time and no social skills/life so why not >.>

I have 19 different comics on the go, BCB is one of the newer ones.
  • #38

I read/love VG Cats, BCB, and Twokinds. That is all.
  • #39

I first read VGcats. I was hooked. Then I read BCB and I can't get off my IPod touch. ITS IMPOSIBLE TO STOP. XD

Addicted to webcomics, huh? Personally, I'm addicted to chaos.
  • #43

I read 10 webcomics, but I do not read them more than once, except to refresh memories for a specific detail.
  • #44

I've got at least seven, would have a lot more if I wasn't actively trying to avoid discovering more. they seem to suck away all my free time.
I mean, look at me, here I am spending hours lurking in the BCB forums. XD
I frequently re-read all of them, and I think three of them haven't updated for a month or more.

Read "Better Days"; it will change your life www.jaynaylor.com/betterdays/
  • #47

I read bcb everyday, "better days" for (insert a number that is more than 3 here) times, Cyanide and happiness (I also brought the book), House of LSD, Scandinavia and the world, So...you're a cartoonist, and many more.

Recommend you to read better days.
  • #48

I agree with the two above me. Jay Naylor's better days webcomic is orgasmic. go read.

Well I'm glad to see I'm not the only person in the world addicted to webcomics. It doesn't look like you're nearly as bad as me, though. I've read BCB 3 times, Gunnerkrigg Court twice, and I wouldn't be surprised to find I've read certain parts of El Goonish Shive ten times. And let's see how many I read . . .
BCB
El Goonish Shive
Homestuck
XKCD
Questionable Content
Gunnerkrigg Court
Looking For Group
Awkward Zombie
City of Reality
Tales of the Questor
Dresden Codak
Order of the Stick
A Softer World
Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal
Wondermark
Misfile
Hark! A Vagrant
Goblins
Sluggy Freelance
Darths&Droids
Commander Kitty
Freefall
Sandra and Woo
Luke Surl Comics
Scenes From a Multiverse
Edmund Finney's Quest to Find the Meaning of Life
Emergency Escape
Red's Planet
Optipess
Afterlife Blues
Oh, how nice, exactly 30. Not counting the ones I read that don't update anymore.

And before anyone says anything, I still have friends (yes, in real life) and can and do interact with them in what must constitute a perfectly normal fashion for me since that's how I acted before I read any webcomics. It's surprising how easy it is to keep it from becoming even so much as a noticeable quirk unless I choose to show it.
