We already know exactly how Mike feels about Lucy. The only reason he even went to her house was because of Sandy.
Also, what about how badly Lucy had hurt Mike over the years? Of course, that doesn't excuse Mike for becoming vindictive at the end, but he did need to stand up for himself at some point.
Yes I agree that he did. But how he's going about it is making him a tremendous douchebag. I feel more terrible about this than I should because I identified with in the most and set him as the main protagonist in my head. Now it's all going bonkers.
On another point... Ah Yashy, that's what I thought too... me too.
08 August 2012 - 08:28 PMLily did the right to tell Mike off, considering what he had done to Lucy in the "December" chapter. The two really need to be separated to let old wounds heal for the moment. It's good to know that Lucy's pets are one of the few who are sympathetic to her plight.
As for Yashy, she really needs to know that anything that happened between Mike and Lucy is over.
You know, Mike came by and sought Lucy on his own accord, which I assume Lily was aware of. At the very least she should let the kid have his piece before kicking him out of sight.
Not to be a Mike hater, but he did NOT come of his own accord. He came because Sandy told him to man up not realizing how badly he'd hurt Lucy and only because he doesn't want to piss his girlfriend off. And he didn't even mean to come this soon! He ended up there during random wanderings in which he was trying to sort out his feelings. He needs to say his piece, yes. But when he really means it and actually makes a decision on his own instead of following others around when they lead him with carrot sticks. This false apology now would only have excaberated the problem.
Those are my feelings exactly. It's moments like these when I wish I had the power to enter the universe of the stuff I read. I would tell Mike straight up to his face how badly he'd hurt Lucy and that he should be better, also the fact that he should think for himself. Then I'll give him an ultimatum. Figure out how you really feel about Lucy and learn to freaking work your problems out or just leave the table now, like he was planing to do.
You know it's funny, when Mike said he leave the table we all thought it was hilarious and he is taking things way out of proportion but really it would signify the end of everything. It may not be the most flashy way of doing it but that's what it does. Poor Mike, now you're the one that's all alone.
He is disappointing me more and more. I hope he can make the right decisions in the comic.
08 August 2012 - 02:47 PMHonestly, I think Lucy would kiss the soil Michael walks upon.
It's not like she doesn't want to see him ever more. She just feels like she isn't allowed to.
God that would be terrible. Lucy needs to stand on her 2 feet. *Sigh* After this, I'm not even sure I WANT LucyxMike to happen. It would be terrible for both of the people involved.
08 August 2012 - 02:10 PMThis has been a thirty second tl;dr analysis. I applaud anyone who reads the whole thing. :I
I read the whole thing and there were good points, but I think there are still ways to fix this. I mean Mike now, however late, acknowledges that he was in the wrong here. (Although I think it MAY have just been Sandy's underlining command to make things better instilled inside his mind CAUSE GODDAMN MIKE CAn"T THINK FOR HIMSELF) Even so now that he knows and feels bad there are always ways to build the bridge again...
It'll never be the same, GOD I wish that it could be the same, but I know it probably won't happen. Since saving Lucy from possible death and giving your own life is pretty much a common occurance Taeshi can't use that as a backboard to bounce Lucy back onto the Mike train (Or maybe she can if Mike gets severely injured enough... or if Lucy tries to hurt herself and Mike intervenes in a very "white knight" fashion...) But I'm still pretty sure Mike is a train with people jostling each other for a place to be conductor, and he's not in the fight. So he could very well hurt Lucy again because he has proven that he can do it just because someone told him to...
I just hope they can stop this coldness between each other now. This shows that Mike has enough willpower to listen to Lily. Things need to cool down a little bit
Expect it's just one person after the other TELLING WHAT TO DO. I wish Mike could think for himself, cause then I would honestly believe that He and Lucy would be okay again.
06 August 2012 - 10:48 PMI agree with Vigtyr. You can tell Mike's heart truly isn't into a heartfelt nor meaningful apology. Whenever he does the deep sigh and index/middle finger-to-forehead combo gesture, you can tell he is only acting out of frustration. I'm sure he just wants to be a good boyfriend and keep his promise, but he could do it in a more tactful way.
GOD I HOPE IT ALL WORKS OUT OKAY.
Mike... Mike, Mike, Mike. GOD DAMMIT! Even now, you can't see how much you've hurt her? Jesus, you need a reality check. Have you not seen any movies at all? Being the bad guy towards someone who was the bad guy does not make you a good guy.
Especially since Lucy just wants to be better.
Yes she did go too far with the "Tender Confession" then rebound to "BANG ME PAULO" but you went much farther!...
Please do the right thing. I don't want to hate you...
