The fact that we won but with money shows that the victory has a... BITTERSWEET taste.
Actually if my calculation are correct, BCB won on the votes also.
BCB: $648 at $.50 per vote equals 1296 bought votes
S&W: $105.50 at $.50 per vote equals 211 bought votes
BCB: 2238(total) - 1296(bought) = 942(non bought)
S&W: 1018(total) - 211(bought) = 807(non bought)
BCB only needed $68 to S&W's $105.50 to win the total. Everything above that, $580, was pure charity. -

Is it possible it could be one of the ads? Every once and a while I get a message that a scrit is running longer then expected and it asks me if I want to cancle the script. The script is always from another site so I am pretty sure that it is an ad.
I should mention that I only get these mesages on the forum and Candybooru. I can't access the main page because my work blocks it. -

Kaxbe, on 11 February 2013 - 07:45 PM, said:JHawk, i really really really love fantasy manga, but i'm really really picky about it. i like fantastical worlds and amazing creatures and that's what attracted me to Jing: King of Bandit. i read the manga, both the original series and Twilight Tales, and i love it to death. i like the anime, but it just falls flat for me, especially knowing that the studio that was making it dropped it so quickly. :C
i used to own all the volumes of the original series and Twilight Tales along with a box DVD set for the anime... unfortunately most of it was lost when my house caught fire two years ago. i don't really have the money to replace them either and they're somewhat difficult to find in good condition because of how old the series is and how long ago it was published (i was still living in Arkansas when it was first published), not to mention how the original English publisher closed down for good forever. Jing: King of Bandits holds a special place in my heart because it was one of the first manga series that i was completely adamant about collecting. :C sure, the story choices don't always make sense, but that's never really what drew me to the manga in the first place. i was attracted to how the world that Jing and Kiir lived in. and that love and infatuation with their world only grew when Twilight Tales came out because Yuichi Kamakura changed his drawing style for that series in order to make Jing's world more "dreamlike". i really miss those books. :C
if someone were to get me replacement copies, i'd probably love them forever.
With an endorsment like that I will have to get the manga also. -
