  1. How do you judge the average quality of dubbing?

    In my country 99% of tv shows are dubbed, and they are usually done very well, professionally, and sometimes with real movie actors lending their voices to their foreign counterparts. Those times I watched stuff in original language it was either american movies/series or japanese anime with english subtitles, therefore I seldom watched anything dubbed in english.
    Recently I was looking for a scene from an old anime and could only find dubbed it in english, but the piece I watched was really embarassing, with totally anonymous and flat voices and very little intensity... Sounded like cheap porn to be blunt.
    So I was wondering if the average dubbing is just average, or if I have just been unlucky with the things I have seen.

    Hello there! I've begun drawing fanart, and I found it pretty amusing, but I'd love to improve.

    I don't know, honestly! I'm a supporter of the contest, but that's all. Since I'm not a big lurker of the IRC I never got to really befriend all the seniors of BCB. I would like to hear from the creator of the contest, but I don't want to be annoying since I already poked not too long ago.
