About Me

Iapetus
Self-described Occidentophile

Gender: Male
Age: 22
Birthdate: 10/31/1988
Location: The U.S.

Political Views: Mostly conservative, with some libertarian leanings.

Religious Views: A fairly conservative Christian. Raised Free-Will Baptist. Planning on converting to Roman Catholicism.

Education: High School Diploma and an Associate of the Arts degree. Currently working on a Bachelor's Degree. Double majoring in History and Religion.
I'm a little behind in my education thanks to my own stupidity. Wasted almost all of my first year and a half of college. Lost my scholarship in the process. ;_;

Occupation: Student. Hope to be a librarian when all is said and done.

Favorite Character: I like almost all of the main cast.

Favorite Pairings: AbbeyxDaisy and PauloxTess (Maybe PauloxJazzie or PauloxLucy instead. It's...iffy.). Can't decide between MikexLucy and MikexSandy...

Hobbies: Reading, Internet-surfing, playing video games, etc. The usual stuff.

Relationship Status: Single. (......any ladies feel like changing that, give me a shout! 8-D <--dorkfaec :I)

I like that Bill Allin quote, btw. :)
In one way, it's revealing. If I understand it, it points out the discrepancy between people's emotions and their behavior. Plenty of people have pity on victims--few actually bother to *help* them. :(

I...*cough*...actually *do* have a list of quotes I keep around. Not sure if I worked in earnest on it till I got a Facebook profile, though.

Wow that's a fair list, you just have that sitting around? or memorised? I got a few good ones myself but they are a bit more amateur really, just interesting things I have found which seemed like good advice.

Women and babies shot and killed by high school and college graduates. So, I'm suspicious of education. My request is: help your students to be human. Your efforts must never produce learned monsters,

"I am a survivor of a concentration camp. My eyes saw what no person should witness. Gas chambers built by learned engineers. Children poisoned by educated physicians. Infants killed by trained nurses.

    I'll add an eighth quote. It's a two-parter.

"The wise old fairy tales never were so silly as to say that the prince and the princess lived peacefully ever afterwards. The fairy tales said that the prince and the princess lived happily, and so they did. They lived happily, although it is very likely that from time to time they threw the furniture at each other."
