Topics I've Started
15 December 2012 - 08:37 PMSo, somehow this thread doesn't exist yet...? I did a search for it, but it didn't pop up, so I figured I'd put it here. Excuse me if I somehow looked over it.
I'm sure you've all heard about the tragedy in Connecticut. A man was driven insane by a group of 26 individuals -- 20 of them being kindergardeners. He lashed out, forced his way into the school, and killed them. Due to our corrupt law system, he was locked away, despite his insanity being their fault.
Anyway, this thread isn't about just that event. It is about gun control in general. So what are your thoughts on gun control? Are you a conservative pig who is willing to sacrifice innocent people for their blasty-sticks? Or are you a faggot Liberal who doesn't care about the Constitution and gets off at the thought of turning the States into a
Socialistdictatorship? (Crossed out Socialist because it is redundant).
25 October 2012 - 10:10 PMBecause apparently this guy is unpleasant enough so that he gets bashed in every other context imaginable, I've decided to create thread where bashing him is literally off topic.
This is a thread all for Romney and the reasons why you're voting for him! Please, enlighten us all.
27 August 2012 - 09:18 AMWhich is more important to you? Truth or Humanity?
Would you sacrifice "truth" in order to progress humanity? Would you let humanity die in order to progress truth? Do you value something else, such as life or animation?
What if your chief, intellectual priority?
24 August 2012 - 10:14 AMAllow me to explain my retarded Topic Title. The question is basically this: Can a person create meaningful art through the methods of fan-art and fan-fiction?
I've noticed a lot of people say that fanart (specifically of the literary variety) is pointless. I can see it -generally- being valued less than original works, but does that suddenly mean it is worthless or embarrassing?
It annoys me to see people say it is a "waste of time," because that doesn't make sense to me at all. Honestly, most people who seem to have an active dislike for these things are deliberately ignorant and like to bend over backward for the sake of their own fabricated individualism -fucking hipsters, amiright?.
I'm also curious to see how many people will maintain a negative stance toward fanart in an environment like this. Normally it is joking, off-hand, and without thought, but a thread like this would probably be a much better gauge of how people truly feel about it. I predict a great many people will have a stance similar to mine: it can be art, but original work is generally considered more functional for such a purpose. But maybe you all feel completely different.
14 August 2012 - 04:16 AMAlright, so, I'm not sure how many would be interested, but I've decided to do some commissions for 50% of my normal price. In other words, $0.005.
That is basically $0.50 per 100 words. This is a lot cheaper than normal, but I've recently been put in a situation that requires I make some money, and the more I make, the less I have to borrow. So if you've ever considered paying for a writing commission, this would be the time to do it.
For anyone wondering, I have done quite a few successful commissions in the past, as well as quite a few requests/stories of my own that were pretty well received.
(I will also write about anything.)
