About Me
I have a story to tell children. It is not a pleasant story, in fact it is full of heart ache and betrayal but it is a story that needs to be told.
Once I had a simple life, a steady job, a loving family, but that all changed when He came into my life. We swept me off my feet and showed me a world that I had never imagined. He popped the terribly simple bubble of life that I had been a prisoner to and we ran away together. We rode the rails for a year, going where ever the trains did, let our hearts lead us, with only ourselves and a dog named Waffles for company.
One day we were trying to catch a train to Washington, Waffle’s was pulling hard on his makeshift leash and I noticed that it was becoming a tab bit frayed, but I decided not to mention anything. As we were running to grab the train, I felt a tug on the leash. Suddenly, it snapped and Waffles tumbled down the hill and fell into a truck full of pillows heading towards town. Waffles didn’t chase after the train that day.
He never forgave me and eventually left me alone. Having no where else to go, I returned home to my normal life. Life is simple now and sometimes I look out the window and think of hopping on a train again, but I never do.
Now I prowl the internet, making sure I always leave a comment. Maybe one day I’ll leave enough comments to make up for the one I never made…
