The remake I had comminng for a long time.
Martesa finally looks more religious with the new clothes. =)
Also made better appearance of her weapons, + adding a religious symbol on the hilt of the sword.
Oh and lets put in Divine light just in case. =P -

damn was putting this off for way too long -.-;;;

Finally, a long overdue character remake. I should be ashemed, because this is the main protagonist of the series and I haven't drawn him since like... a year ago. ^^;
Anyway, here's Larcel Varaldo. =) -

Migrant, on 12 August 2012 - 09:36 AM, said:i noticed you tend to draw the weapons really tiny in comparisson to the bodies. Try to do some research on medieval weapons. A lot of your swrods look like little kitchen knifes in the hands of the characters. And the crossbow is just tiny. (also, is that cow-man holding his axe by the blade? Isn't he afraid of cutting his fingers off? Or is it just a really dull blade?) Here's a little bit from google and wikipedia:
cow-man
A bastard sword can be 1 to 1.5m long, so about two thirds of the height of a character, and is relatively thin at ~4cm (the width of the wrist or a bit thinner). A gladius would be about 65-80cm long, so about the length of the character's arm, and up to 8 cm thick. A modern fencing Sabre (which is often shown in medieval settings, though the sabers of the time were different) would be 88cm long and quite thin. A Mace's length can vary a lot, but they need to have enough reach, so at least as long as the gladius.
As for a crossbow, while pistol-sized crossbows did (and do) exist, they were useless against even thin armour and at long ranges. A smallish crossbow would be the length of and arm, while large ones can be as tall as their wielder (of course, there is no theoretical maximum, but bigger than that and you'd have to mount it to a charriot or drag it on four wheels and call it a balista).
A medieval spear should be taller than a person by a good bit. Classical-era spears and hunting spears can be much shorter, but they are usually thrown, not so much used as a melee weapon.
A medieval battle axe would be about 80cm tall (one handed) to 150cm tall (two handed, dual bladed). A swiss halberd measures around 2.2 meters.(that's abot 35% to 40% taller than the character)
Yeah, some of the pics you're refering to are kinnda old and I haven't properly updated them yet, as for Mister Smite (aka cow-man), he's DA BEAST, a lil axe blade would hurt him. =P
Thanks for the feedback and suggestion still. =) -

Decided that Matriarch of the Justicars, Kal'Reia needed a lil remake, this time in her full appearance.
So I added white hair to her (I mean you can't pass on the idea that she's actually grandma
), gave her a different set of horns and finally fixed her body parts size.
